Guild Wars 2

So I was in PvP a moment ago and there was a Mesmer player on the enemy team. I was at a high vantage point so I could see the battle pretty clearly. All of a sudden, I notice that this Mesmer starts blinking across the map at incredible speeds. Within a few seconds, she was right next to me blinking all around as she ran and dodged.

I play a Mesmer as well, and while I am not the best player, it seems illogical that this was simply a byproduct of skill. How was she SO fast? The cooldown on blink is too long to perform what she was doing. It might be possible she was moving very quickly and the blinking was a result of lag or something, but I really doubt it. It was almost like she was a computer or something in her movements.

Can anyone shed any light on this? I am just really curious now. She had a greatsword, if it matters.

Thats not a Mesmer skill to do such a thing. Blink has a notably long CD.

Its very likely, that was a Speedhack instead.

Could it have been a combination of things?

Drop a portal, blink somewhere else, drop another portal, travel between both portals, dodging each time it was up. Maybe you were far enough away that the portals and the dodge don’t render? Is it possible too that they had multiple portals around and they were using someone else’s or getting random speed buffs? Just making up a possible scenario so we don’t jump to cheating but yeah, I wasn’t there to know for certain. If you never saw them cross the same path and go in a linear line then maybe it was cheating.

Another thing it could have been was a REALLY laggy mesmer with swiftness going.

Sounds like a speed hack. Seen a lot of them in WvW.

Sorry guys for the late response. Had a long week. I didn’t know the speedhack thing was even possible. I am kinda thinking that was what is was. Thanks for the info.
