So Belinda’s great sword ( katana) is FINALY up on the gem store.
Anyone here going to get it or think its worth it for a mesmer?

Do you like the look? Do you want to use a katana? Is the skin worth 600 gems to you? Do you want to shoot butterflies out of your katana?

Am just asking other mesmers in general, I probs won’t get it as I have almost got twilight my first legendary as using another greatsword after all that work seems wrong :/ lol

I use the Halloween bat sword skin on my Mesmer’s GS. I think it is the best because of the way the Mesmer uses the GS. The bats spin out on auto-attack.

Hmm if memory serves there is another greatsword that uses the same skin but have a visual effect when drawn

I’ll get it, I typically don’t like the use of a beam from a single sided blade, but it looks to good on my toon to pass it up

Looks great with the ninja outfit they introduced last month. I got both, and also have the elegant guild back piece which to me is reminiscent of the samurai back flag (sashimono). I just have to find matching skins for all the other weapons now.

Half my raid had this last night.

Personally I think it looks rubbish. But whatever floats your boat.

I like it. I want a 1h version too…

I was going to get it but after seeing to many people using it, and since I tend not to use GS anymore or at list 95% of the time and moreover, it fits more to a melee damage class which we are not with GS I changed my mind and wont be getting it.

Got it, but not so much for Mesmer. She’s got Sunrise, so I don’t see myself swapping that out. I do like the skin though, so I unlocked it and at least I’ll have the option in the future. The new costume looks awesomely detailed as well (seems to push out 2H weapons from the back so that it doesn’t clip), so I grabbed that too. I was so sure that costume was going to be the reward for the PvP Tournament of Legends when I first saw it. Glad I was wrong (but hope they get something amazing looking).

I got it but I use an Asuran Peacekeeper greatsword for my mesmer as it matches the color scheme and almost no one else uses it. My other mesmer has a pink/fushia palette so she uses Lovestruck weapony. I wish they had underwater skins.

I can’t use any other greatsword that is not the Vision of the Mists with my mesmer. It just fits so well the mesmer aesthetics.

Anime is ridiculous. This skin looks silly, as do the legendary greatswords. I’ll probably stick with ascended greatsword for now, it doesn’t look too terrible. Most of the GS’s look awkward anyway with spatial surge, but I find Belinda’s sword looks extra weird.
