So right now I have the peace-maker’s torch and pistol, and tbh, I hate them.

So does anyone have any good suggestions of not overly expensive torch and pistol skins that look relatively decent on an asuran mesmer. I have the overused bonneti’s rapier to pair it with, by the way if that matters to any real extent hahaha.

The tormented skins look really nice (I have the staff), but at around 200+ gold right now I’d prefer to aim for cheaper if possible.

Ilya or Lyss if you want a purple pistol.
The warden torch looks nice if you want a different skin. Or the CM torch skin.

Eh, the way I go about picking weapons that match/look decent is work your way from the bottom up when designing a character:

Option a)

1. Pick armor skins that you think look good
2. Dye those skins to suit your needs
3. Find weapon skins that match the dyes/armor

Option b)

1. Pick a set of weapon skins you really like the look of
2. Choose armor skins that relate/match those weapons and dye them however you want

I think option b is easier in most cases.

With my Asuran mesmer I went with Aetherized skins (no longer available other than TP… hella expensive sadly). They’re really cool!

I don’t like any other skin’s and am lucky enough to have both.

It depends on how your character looks, I think. I have Warden Torch, Daydream Pistol and Chaos Gun for my Sylvari Mesmer!

I’m using the Mistforged Hero torch (from WvW tournaments), but I like the Nightmare torch from TA a lot and the new Scientist skin looks amazing too!

Another one that looks cool and it’s quite easy to get is the Zenith torch.

For pistol, my favourite is the Tormented.

As for pistols, Ilya/Lyss is pretty Mesmery. I also like the ascended pistol (purple version) since it looks so elegant > Click me hard <
Lovestruck Pistol Skin looks similar and is cheaper, if you can’t afford the ascended.

At the end of the day, you’re Asura. No one is gonna see your skins anyways, because you’re ultra tiny.

Cross your fingers with me that we get PURPLE SUPER ADVENTURE BOX skins someday. Those will be dope.

Zenith for both.

^ I did zenith for both for a while cuz I couldn’t find ANY that I liked without being a weird compromise to my interests… Also looked good with infinite light. (all the pistols always seem a bit awkward in hand and I dislike almost every torch in game…)

I however recently went with shadow pistol due to my base colours typically being black so it blends in a bit, But when you do notice it it seems as if something is more attached to your arm like a subtle focus so it made it better <3

Torch I got the scientific one… because if they are all going to be lame, I might as well get a pretty bright teal-ish one that doesn’t have a typical boring flame…. I have considered the fire fly amber one but the antenna ish parts turn me off of it.

I used to use the nightmare wayyyy back but got a bit bored of it.

This game still has yet to give me a staff I like without compromise.

I agree, and it suits my purple sylvari really well. (no I’m not part of nightmare court)

Some (Sylvari) Mesmers do look like a burnt purple branch (including mine), that’s why the torch kinda fits.
