I was wondering what people would recommend for accounts that don’t have HoT but still wish to compete decently at spvp. I remember Helseth said he would have made some videos on the subject if leagues hadn’t been bad or something.

At the moment I have been running two GS/Staff shatter builds, one variant with Domination the other with Chaos:

I wonder what people’s feedback might be and what other “vanilla” mesmer builds are successful in spvp?

That being said, I wouldn’t classify any vanilla mesmer build as being actually competitive in PvP. That option is simply the best of a lot of bad choices.
