Here is a secret. Phantasm builds. Less cheesy too

Depends on what classes you run into when roaming.

I find phant mesmers very easy to kill on my thief/warrior, but make short work of them on my condi mesmer.

Both are viable, whatever you feel more comfortable with.

The best roaming build is the one you make for yourself, as you know your playstyle better than anyone else does.

It really depends on what you want.

A strong phantasm build should never lose in a 1v1, so it’s definitely a viable option. It loses strength quickly when fighting outnumbered though.

A strong condition build doesn’t have the burst or the chasing ability of a phantasm build, but it handles fighting outnumbered very well.
