So I don’t want beserker stats at all
Wanting to creat a chrono/Mesmer focusing only on open world/ living story stuff
So the weopen set ive chosen to use is sword/shield and greatsword
So what stats should I use ?
I have an idea for something with power and maybe boon duration considering chronic/Mesmer can generate a lot of boons which would help me with soloing
But I’m stuck on which stats to pick been told commander is a good choice for what I’m looking for but yeah
Any help I’m grateful

If you want to run a power based build and aren’t focusing on boon sharing there isn’t much point in running something other than beserker.

Why do you not want to use zerker? With that set of weapons, zerker or assassin gear is best. If you just arbitrarily don’t want to use zerker, you may as well just equip random exotics as they drop. There’s no point in explicitly optimizing for a sub-optimal build.

Just write all the stats down on pieces of paper and draw one out of a hat. Honestly why do you not want to run zerker?

The other option is to look only at boon duration stat which is concentration, only commanders gear really stands out as an option to be taken without most people laughing at what will be the least effective build in GW2.

OP if your mind is set on the premise (no berserker gear) then nothing or no one can really stop you, especially if you’re running open world/personal stories. Don’t mind their phrasing though, people here are only trying to help by providing optimal options. Personally I know people who doesn’t like berserker gear and went for knight due to potato internet or other more personal reasons, so to be honest there is no shame in that.

Exactly. This forum operates on the GIGO principle. If you come and say ’I’d like something more durable than zerker’ or ’I’d like to really focus on providing party boons’, then we can provide useful advice as to how to achieve that.

Conversely, if you just say ‘hey, the letter B bit me when I was a child, so I’d like to avoid berserker gear’, you’ll get the sort of useless responses you see here.

I’m messing around with a commanders set myself in an interrupt build and it works well enough for now. With chaotic interruption and furious interruption it’s very easy to keep up 25 might, regeneration, protection and quickness when soloing pve content.

OP did say he wanted to try a different style of build so I don’t understand why people bother to criticise his choice. Not everyone has to play the same boring meta builds and stats.

I guess noone can help you without knowing the reason for your zerker dislike. So lets wait for him to answer that question first ^^
