The change to this trait has to be some form of mistake. Compared against other ConditionX-proc-on-ConditionY application, there is no other trait that has such a (ridiculous) internal cd (see: Guardian Blind_Exposure, Necromancer: Chill of Death ) for blinds. Even if we accept that we need the internal cd because CONFUSION OP (even though it was just nerfed in the same patch), such a radical change (it is radical, as there are many ways that it was possible to “burst” blind applications, all of which are now moot with this), deserves some form of compensation, the simplest of which would be increasing the # of stacks of confusion this applies (my opinion is that 3 stacks would be balanced, since two accounts for the 50% reduction nerf, and the extra is for the icd).

AGREEED! My confusion blind build was amazing now I’m limited to the number of stacks I can put out because of this nerf. Up the stacks!
My guess is that the change was made because of Chaos Armour. Which is silly, especially given the Confusion nerf in WvW.

It was 3s before. And yes the confusion nerf plus this one is ridiculous. Also the ICD exists even if the target is no longer blinded which contradicts the freaking patch notes. Good Job anet!

Its prolly a real mess up otherwise why word it as they did “cannot be reapplied to a target already blinded by the mesmer” (not exact but close to the patch notes). Instead it could have just said “confusion has an internal cooldown of 5s”. It would make more sense to word it that way. They just messed up the patch
Look what they’ve done to Illusionary Membrane… The skill was strong in a phantasm build but FAR from omfg needs to be nerfed cuz its so OP and now we get THREE sec of protection per freaking 15sec, 15!!!!!!!!! On the other hand ranger gets 2sec of protection from dodging without any CD lol that’s anet for you so don’t try to find any reasoning.

you know what an amazing buff would be… if torch skills cleansed ALL conditions on use… or more than one
And Confusing Enchantments wasn’t changed at all. Don’t ask for logic, we’re talking about ANet.
