Bored with current Shatter build.
For me nothing is more mindless/boring pushing of buttons from range then GS/Staff. But for WVW sometimes thats what you need to do.
For me I am a old school FPS gamer all the way back to quake. So I am used to jumping in fighting whatever.
I am never scared no matter how many people want some. (not that I am spectacular but I know with my skills its possible to pull off anything).
I like sword/torch and staff. For skills I use shield guy, mirror, decoy, blink.
I run zerker with centaur runes (for speed running).
Between my trait skill and prestige, decoy, blink I have TONS of escapes. I NEVER die.
My favorite combo is to sneak in with a decoy on my enemies. Drop a mirror mix with distortion (grants me 3 sec of evade) then pop a chaos storm /armor/warlock before switching to the real fun… 1hs.
Now I can leap into my enemy and wack wack wack wack. evade evade pop couple clones and mind wrack. swords back up wack again. pop clones and wrack or distort depending.
I invis a lot with prestige always right after sword goes. This means you only have a few seconds of being exposed before your invulnerable again.
I have a blast.
Don’t worry to much about traits until you find the style you like. I tried to copy all these builds and got so frustraited.
Find what you like then use the traits that make sense.
How that helps man! hang in there. Mesmer is SO versatile it can be as boring as you want or as action packed as you want. Also it can be the most frustrating and most rewarding to play. Just IMO.
Zagozda – LVL 80 Warrior
Trynity Killer – LVL 80 Ranger
I wish I could say I have only 2 sets. Damage and heals but the truth is my a.d.d. forces me into 4 sets that utilize over 7 builds. You’re bored? Make a new set and respec to something totally different. If you still only want to use your knights set with GS and Staff. The only other spec I can think of, that revolves around GS& Staf,f is a phantasm build. I’ll offer you some advise: Diversify.
