With other classes having massive might stacking talents now, I don’t understand why this has to stay nerfed.

A warrior with Phalanx Strength can maintain 25 stacks of might easily… Shattered Strength was no where near as OP as that.

So you feel warriors might stacking capabilities is OP, therefor buff Mesmer might stacking so it to will be OP?

OP may be referring to the December 2012 patch where shattered strength was buffed to give 3 stacks of might per illusion but then nerfed 3 weeks later to 1 stack per illusion. It was wildly overpowered for that short period of time and got nerfed as it should have.

Wildly overpowered might be one thing. However, I always said if 3/illusion was “too strong,” they could have at least tried a period of time at 2/illusion. This, as we all know, never happened.

Mirror blade already gives mesmer too much might on a super short cooldown and unblockable skill. If shatter mesmer needs one thing is a nerf.

Keep in mind it was also around during an exploit that allowed people to abuse shatters (hence the band aid fix internal cool down between shatters… which was never actually ya know “FIXED”)

We never got to experience the buffed shattered strength after the band aid fix.

At the time tho I would argue it was a little bit strong on paper. But with the amount of low risk builds that can out sustain a mesmer on point, and shrug off attempts at ranged preassure, all while having pretty easy to avoid burst AND still get hard shut down by faster glass cannons like thieves as well as condi. I don’t think there would be to much of a problem re-implementing 3/illusion or as suggested above 2/illusion.

Nerfing is a harsh word. Shatter mesmers define risk/reward gameplay, and are currently fine, If not, then they infact need a damage buff.

The might lasts for 10 seconds, which is pretty darn good. So I don’t think it necessarily needs a buff.

But 2 stacks for 5 seconds could make things interesting.

I think 3 might per illusion shattered is too much. 12 might per shatter on a shatter mesmer. That will turn ridiculous fast. Currently, out might stacking is moderate, which is balanced fine with out aggressive style of attacks.

I think 2/illusion is about right. Shatter mesmer only really have access to might and vigor, least they can do is make might more significant. 3/illusions is pushing it to extreme though.
