I’m not joking. I would log into check it right now, but I gotta run to school. I checked the wiki last night but it didn’t say anything about this subject, or maybe it was hidden from my view. You don’t even have to re post. Just edit onto the post you have there. Or if anyone else want to answer, you can just pm me privately, if you don’t want to bump my post.

This subject is to help me know if there are any minor changes left to make before I move onto WvW after 2 more pvp vids.

Stacking sigils stack on anything you tag except ambient creatures.

Definitely go Traveler over Divinity. Div. may have higher stat boosts, but does frackall for your chasing ability. And let me tell you, folks hate a Mesmer that can keep up with ’em.

Off the top of my head? Shattercat condition (Osicat, check sticky) and Seven Mirrors (sorry, I can’t think of the name right now. taking a quick study break, or I would look it up myself). I might duel you sometime, but I haven’t tried anything condition related in +6 months, and haven’t played mesmer in ~4. Just got back from a long break.

Everything here under the pvp and wvw section, it just depends on the player.

Builds without condi removal have to be on their toes, though. 1 illusionary counter=they have to disengage.

These are all very very very GREAT builds. More reason to fight against them now since they are very respectable.

1. Could anyone help me make this montage by Dueling me? I will try to find these builds in Dueling Servers, but some of these builds are very scarce, so I need the help of my fellow forums Mesmers. Again, will post the losses, too.

2. Is someone available for Testing my build out for WvW and PvP? I have done testing for 3 months now, so I know my build inside out, however, keenlam strongly suggested I use the knowledge and perspective of other people, so I will need a Tester to help me in WvW and PvP. I live in California and play from Friday to Sunday.

Why do you feel that fighting certain builds is important?

If a build is scarse it might not be relevant in the current game state. Not because it is bad – it might actually be great – but because you won’t encounter it. Personally, I think showing fights against specific builds isn’t that important. Fighting good players is important. So no face rolling rank 1-5 players in PvP etc.

Since you did testing for 3 months, don’t you have any recorded fights ready?

I actually did testing for 3 months and have aquired some really nice dueling footages in PvP. I was gonna create the video from Ezvid, but it happened so that my computer was hacked with hundreds of viruses from Ezvid(becareful what you download from online). So I went to a professional to get it fixed. Turns out I had to delete ezvid permanently, along with the finished videos. Now I am back to accumulating videos again and trying to make the video from Movie Maker, which is a bit different for me.

Is Any Tester Available? I need your help.

He once decided that we are so terribly op that fighting other professions would be dishonorable. So he invented Mesmer Wars 2.

To be fairly honest, I actually enjoy battling against very skilled players from other professions, however, Mesmers give me a hard time whether or not the players are skilled. That is why I love to fight other Mesmers. They are a challenge everywhere I go.
Skilled Mesmers are just a pain, and that’s what I like about it. The feeling of beating other skilled Mesmers is just exhilarating for me. Haha. (Much respect to these skilled players no doubt)

Anyone available for Testing this build? Plz. I really want to put this build in to the BotM for November

Updated PvP build so as to run I am running now. Way better overall build in my opinion.

If you’re having trouble specifically with Mesmers, my advice would be to start getting used to pressing buttons instead of clicking skills.

When you cna use your mouse to tunr the camera and target 100% of the time, it’s much easier to fight Mesmers, I think. I may be completely wrong here, because I have no experience with clicking skills :P

Lol wow, another way to SPAM your build is to SPAM your own thread with your own comments.
And why exactly? To get people use your build? If I post builds that’s because I wanna help people, not almost force them to play it. If they don’t like it, then you don’t see me bother.
Personal builds aren’t made by discussing what’s best, but what you think is best. You’ll never make a build that suits everyone.
And what’s up with the crap about ’’testing’’ vs other builds? Why would you want to test your build against specific builds in sPvP, while you made this build for WvW?
It’s not like those are the only builds you’ll face. There are harder opponents such as thieves, engies and necro’s.

Besides, spvp and wvw have very much in common. In both, you will face player opponents. In spvp it’s also much easier to meet up with someone easily. In wvw you have the server issue etc, and the chance of being ambushed.

really, arenanet should implement duelling in pve, would be much easier and fun :/.

edit: Also, I think engis, necros and thieves aren’t nescesarily harder than a Mesmer :P

1. I felt this build was underappreciated because people are hesitant about roaming it in WvW due to expensive armor gears. I am working hard to create a vid for PvP so that people will have more reason to try it out in WvW

2. I am not forcing anyone to play it. But I want them to at least Try it out and tell me what they thought of it by PMing me or even posting it here. I doubt anyone has even tried it. I just know that for a fact, lol.

3. Also, if you think Necro, Engis, and thieves are harder for you, well, that is very surprising in my own opinion. They are by far one of the easiest classes to beat in very many ways. this is my own opinion from my own experience.

4. Keenlam said somewhere that people should keep updating builds for the BotM if we happen to change them so that it becomes better viable. This is what i am doing, but only with PvP, so that people can experience how the build will look like in WvW.

5. The thing with testing against other builds are because I know them to be very viable and very amazing. I clearly stated somewhere else in this thread that all of my respect goes to you people who created these builds. I don’t know why you act like I am disgracing your builds.

6. The only difference in PvP and WvW is that in WvW, you can run away and use lots of terrain. There is also the fact that people can jump on you anytime. This is why I made the WvW build so that it suits those things. Now I am trying to convince people that this build is viable in PvP, thus will be also viable in WvW given the right utilities and Runes.

Finally: I don’t get why you jumped on me for no reason. I was just preparing people for the upcoming vid that is gonna appear soon. The only reason this build is underappreciated is because people aren’t willing to try it out until they see some cold hard evidence. Which is what I am trying my best to hurry up and finish it now. I hope you will not be so cold to me next time. I used to appreciate your attitude and builds. I still do, but that post you made was surprising in a lot of ways for me.

Menace the reason why people aren’t trying this build is because it’s not very good. Hybrids are not as good as you seem to think they are and a video of you doing whatever won’t convince people otherwise.

hybrids are not viable Menace, they are not. You don’t have enough burst to pressure, you don’t have the condition damage to pressure via conditions. If I came across someone using this spec in Solo Q It would be an easy win.

And as for roaming in WvW with this build, no, just no. Your better going full zerker or full PU condition.

I feel very frustrated when people just bluntly say that. I respect you lots loco, but I hope everyone just stops Assuming hybrids are weaker than a full power DPS, and weaker than a full Condition. It’s very frustrating for me when people go about saying that. It has the best of both worlds. I know I am being a bit loud about this matter, but I don’t get why you just assume when you barely even touched on this build even in PvP, much less get to try it out. Some of us don’t assume power/condi hybrids ade worse than fulll power ir condi, because we actually tried it out. I did, but I’m not speaking for all of us.

You don’t, just think about it. For the best of power, you need power precision and critical damage. For condi, you need condition damage. You just cant get an armor piece that has 4 stats on it…

A condi/power hybrid will never do 100% condition- and power damage, ever.

This isn’t true, you get both worlds but not the best of them. You will never be reaching the full potential of either damage or condtions on a hybrid because like Alissah said you can’t get a stat combo with those specific stats. So really you get both worlds but not to their full ability.

With that being said if that set-up is what you like, that’s not for others to decide. They are entitled to their own opinion and so are you, just be careful how you word your argument.

He wants people to try it before people judge it for being bad, as has happened alot in the past.

Also, not everyone wants to dedicate their full free time to making a video.

With my last duelling one:
Day 1: recorded ans edited 30%
Month 2: recorded and filtered.
Month 3: edited the rest and uploaded a preview render.
Day 2, month 3: optimalised, made a few edits, and uploaded the full version.

It took me about 12 hours over 4 days in 3 months :p. (not including failed remdering and previews, which was like 14 hours)

I kind of have a busy life, so just something to compare it to :p.

I’m not judging his build, never did. I only said his attitude in this topic is pretty annoying.
I like to see new posts, not 1 build that gets refreshed on the first page cause it get’s updated every day by the OP himself.

And well, for the video part, I think menance got enough time for that. After all, he got enough time to spam his own thread.

BTW: I would be glad to fight your friends for fun. I need a good duel anyways. I play on weekends in California.

@Alissah (4th post after me)- I just want people to Try it, PM me the results so I can know everyone’s perspective and outlook on the build, and try to tweak it if there is anything necessary to be tweaked. Then you never have to touch this build again…

@Blackdevil (5th post after me)- I am sorry again if I annoyed you. I just think that I wish people would at least try my build at least one time and tell me the results. That’s all I actually want to happen. Just try, so that I may get at least some source of PoV from other people.

I actually run a similar hybrid build to the OP’s (though it’s probably 75/25 power/condition) and I find it work very well in WvW.

That said, I can see why this thread is turning people off. Perhaps it’s time to let it die and then let the build stand (or fall) for itself.

regarding hybrid build – its depends on your play style to do the most dmg. and also dps – dmg per second
full power burst will do the highest dmg in a small interval time – aka spike dmg
while full condition dmg will do most dmg in much longer interval.

so its depends on your play style and how you measure the dps – hybrid can do more dps as when you spike you do less power dmg but when you go defensive you still doing condition dmg thus overall dps can be higher
so power build will try to spike you and w8 for another attempt to do so. thus with the fight time frame there could be a time without any dmg , and vise versa regarding conditions as they will do dmg all the time but less dmg

so i can agree that hybrid build if played right can do more dmg per seconds (dps) but than your playstyle must be change for more longer fight than spike dmg shorter ones

after plying both power and condition build sometime my condition did 2k dps which was equal to the power build as the fight went longer. and some time my power build did 4k dps as the fight went shorter

Make a video, count the total damage and divide by the number of seconds it lasts :P.

Or just calculate it. A swordsman hits every 3 seconds, and if it crits 5000 every single time, it does 5000/3=1666DPS or something.

easy – take a time frame from where u started the fight till you end it watch how much dmg you’ve done and divide it . do it with real fight and not npc than you’ll get the real Sustainable DPS
example : thieves have the highest dps in the game but if you play good against them their sdps is dropping because they cant kill you easily thus their SDPS can be low as they need to stealth or retreat . thus it dosent matter if you can shatter for 8k than play defensively for some few seconds while condition build will do so while playing defensively

you’ll be surprise sometime to see that condition Sdps with good player hands can be stronger than power Sdps
i have a video of me (average player) taking out bunker ranger in 20 seconds doing 25k condition dmg and about 5k direct dmg so sdps is 1.5k, and another vid against zerk sc/d ele which after 13 seconds got down so again about 1.2k sdps
other videos i saw of shater builds on youtube sometimes have the same Sdps as they took longer to kill an enemy. but you may encounter great shatter player who can do 4k Sdps easily

I’d love the in-depth analysis of sustained dps from messiah. It could be used as a standard to evaluate hybrid builds.
