I don’t enjoy playing this build and i see it being op at what it does but for those who like to be bunkers in spvp this build will make your team think again before choosing a guardian instead of mesmer
The purpose of this build is to enable you to hold points in spvp until help arrives.
Most people think that healing sig is the most powerful heal in the game right now but they are dead wrong. Using some traits our Mantra of Recovery can provide almost 12k heal every 10 seconds. Healing sig is a 400h/sec while we are at more then 1000/sec.
This alone is enough to make most classes cringe when thinking of taking you on but let’s not stop there. Add 6 conditions removed to that and now we are almost immune to condition damage also, not that the heal by it’s self wouldn’t have been enough to keep you alive.
But wait, there’s more. Let’s bring out our dear friend the Phantasmal Defender to the equation.
This little Phantasm will not only soak up half the damage you will take but will also provide you with constant regeneration and protection will pop up for 3 seconds every 15 seconds as a nice little bonus to your already godlike survivability, all you need is to run past him once in a while.
Add to all this scepter block + offhand sw block + staff chaos storm and chaos armor.
On swap energy sigils are also fun to use for those moments when you feel like using a dodge or two, even though they won’t be necessary.
The only weakness this build has is having your mantra cast interrupted but we have a solution for that also. Mantra of Concentration is our friend with her 3 charges of 2 second stability buff, just enough time to get our heal casted without any pesky problems. One cast of MoC will have you ready for the next 3 heal casts. Just pop a Power Break in before starting to chant your Mantra of Recovery and you are good to go.
The only way you can die using this build is if your team has gone to sleep and is never going to come help you on point.
Why i don’t like this build you may ask … because you can’t kill anything with it, but if you like capping points in spvp well this is the build for you. All the PU mesmers out there will marvel at your survivability while they try and hide with their stealth and silly clones.
