Hello, I am Hairyste and I got my mesmer to level 80 today. I was wondering what a good build is for roaming.
I do not want condi build but power. Hybrid is fine.
Can you guys share your roaming build that you can win outnumbered fights with?
I just don’t want to spend my money over and over again to buy new armor sets

Well…

No matter the build, a zerker armor set, and zerker armor trinkets. Zerker weapons. For either power or hybrid, Assassins armor as an alternative (the bonus precision is good for both the power and condi elements of hybrid). You can add rabid + zerker/assassins for hybrid, either armor or trinkets, take your pick.

Alternatively you can go zerk + knights, or zerk + cavalier. As much or as little of either as you prefer. This is true of assassins + cav (for a nice balance of crit damage and armor)

For solo roaming vs outnumbered, a power PU setup makes life more sustainable. However using pro tactics you can go with a number of options. Regardless the armor/trinket setup will remain the same.

Well, power mesmer isn’t really the master of fighting outnumbered. But maybe this one?

Well, I would guess a lot depends on your skill. I’m a really average player, so outnumbered fights are tough for me. I do play a power build and do a lot of roaming, so you might try it.

This is a short video that shows a couple outnumbered situations. If you have more skill, you could certainly go with more berserker/assassin gear. Or you may prefer a shatter build more than phantasms.

I’ve used variants of this build for over 1 year now, great all rounder and even works with minimal changes for S/Tpvp!

Have won 1v4 and many other outnumbered fights with this, hardcounter is condi/regen warrior, don’t often meet a good one though!
I swap compounding power for precise wrack in Tpvp and occasionally change Mass invis for Moa.

If Sw/P doesn’t suit you as second set, have a look at the video in my signature for an older Sw/T variant, IMO Centaur runes are outplayed by Traveler if you can afford them.

Something to keep in mind when thinking about armor sets: PVE. If you have a lot of karma you can get exotic sets in Orr. If you do run a dungeon on the occasion, you can always go to a vendor and get a full set of armor relatively fast with the specific stats you want. Multiple dungeons offer armor sets with same stats on them – each dungeon offers three stat sets to choose from. So if you don’t mind spending a little time in pveland now and then, you can make some money and get some armor/weaponry at the same time.

I have nine characters that are level 80 and each character has at least two sets of armor. My mains (I use four characters with regular frequency) all carry 3-4 sets of armor. This allows me the greatest build diversity.

you will need at least something about 2.2k armor. Its just too difficult for me to play without that.
