I’ve been getting a lot of mixed answers to this question. So here’s my question… Can confusion crit? I’ve been hearing people say “Yes mine does”. Then I read that condition dmg no matter what it is can’t crit.

Just like bleeds never crit, confusion neither does.

Just to put a fine point on it.

Condition damage does not crit.

After hours of observation, I notice that confusion in some form or manner crits.
At times it will hit for X amount and other times hit of 2*X amount. Unless confusion is affected in some other way. Why would it periodically do double the amount of dmg?

If you have 2 stacks it doubles, 3 stacks triple, etc.

it does not crit. it stacks intensity just like bleed, except that the total damage is combined in one tick whereas bleeds tick as multiple stacks at once.

If that is the case why do I see crit damage showing up when someone is suffering from my confusion stacks?

you are critting them with your attacks.

it gets higher numbers if u have higher stacks on them.
