I’ve killed the High Priest of Grenth three times now, and haven’t unlocked the trait.

Um, wth?

Twice was after an escort event bringing a guy to the temple, the third time was when I logged in and he spawned a few minutes later (much easier fight than the post-escort one, btw).

Any idea why I still don’t have the trait?
The tooltip just says to kill the Priest

I got it just fine after killing the priest. This may be a silly question, but are you doing enough damage to the priest to get credit for the event? If not, that would explain why it’s not unlocking for you.

Of course, if you are getting credit for the event, it’s probably some sort of bug. It’s pretty common to have a whole host of assorted bugs with a big release like this.

Yeah, all three times I was given “Gold” for the event.

I was even hitting for over 10,000 for many of my attacks.

I think I know what the bug is. You were hitting for over 10k so the game refused to believe you were a Mesmer. Thus, no Mesmer traits.

Kidding – sorta – assuming it doesn’t bug out or get killed a Warden can deal a bit over 10k.

This can happen – from how I understand it – if you pull the NPC far away from the event area and you’re not near it when the event ends. It seems the credit is given to people in a location ,and the location doesn’t match up 100% to the tether-area of the NPC. :S

I just got the one for my warrior after I died and all I fought were shades and got bronze.
