I have the trait deceptive evasion, the one that creates a clone when you dodge. However it seems that this doesn’t work while holding an object, such as an elementalist’s summoned weapon. This is especially annoying when running the cliffside fractal where you run a hammer up a “statue”. Sometimes a dodge clone is needed to increase the healing effects of 2 of the mesmer’s healing spells( while holding the hammer).

Is this inability to makes clones while holding an object done on purpose? Or is it a bug? If it is, I will probably delete this thread and post it on the bug section.

Didn’t try this in a while but I remember it worked in Summer when I played with my brother who played ele. The clone used the weapon I would have equiped if I hadn’t picked up the ele weapon.

Of course it is possible it got nerfed/changed since then.

It’s been bugged for quite a few months now. If I recall correctly, the devs said they knew about it, so it’ll probably be fixed in about a year.
