Celestial Chronomancer?
Hi, I have celest on my armor. I took it because I am not going to make another ascended armor. That said, I have berserk trinkets, rings, weapons, back and amulet for PvE.
For the Raids I got the sinister stats from the living world season 2. Will be testing them.
Hope it helps
Sorry for shattering your illusions

I’m quite a casual player so i will only make 1 ascended set as well… Currently have full ascended soldier trinket/rings/access and exotic berserker weapons+armor..
So, Cele can be okish in a PvP bunker build. Probably okish in WvW, too?
But Chrono doesn’t change the big weakness of Cele Mesmer in general, which is that Mesmer has absolutely godawful scaling on Healing Power. As a result, you’re wasting 560 stat points, and that seriously cuts into the stat advantage of Celestial amulet.
I think you’re talking about open world PvE, though. In which case, you can certainly get by with just about anything… But Cele is gonna make fights go so slowly. You owe it to your sanity to get a Berzerker set instead. Take advantage of the ability to mix-and-match gear by taking a couple of pieces of Rampager or Sinister if you really want condition damage. Or a couple of Soldier or Knight pieces if you feel you’re too squishy.
What Unterkiefer did actually isn’t too terrible, either. If you really want to craft Cele armour, combining it with Zerk weapons and trinkets is probably the best way to make it work.

seems like a waste for pve honestly… if you want a bit more survival you can get a bit of soldier or knights/cavalier gear, no point investing in cele since we don’t have much use for the healing power

Celestial is too greedy for PvP and probably pointless in PvE (Unless you abuse the new Boonspreading thing with another mesmer for permanent party quickness/resistance/boons).
In PvP the question is are you bunker enough to contest a point for enough time 1vX. The answer is no IMO for Chrono, because too many abilities turn off your point-contesting. Between those abilities and knockbacks from opponents, you’ll survive, but you will have failed the reason for being bunker in the first place.
Also PvP, if you aren’t bunker, you need to either be able to add-on to a fight and burst fast, or 1v1 in a reasonable time. Glass is 100x better than cele chrono for adding on and killing fast, and Cele chrono is not a fast enough 1v1 on point class. Even stuff like carrion, marauder, rampage would be faster.
Cele chrono seems like just a 1v1 dueling build. Even then, from all the chrono I played, I would prefer carrion for 1v1, but probably wouldn’t be wearing it in spvp.
I tested celestial Chrono and while it was effective, the builds I found would generally be more effective with carrion or soldier armour. Celestial is in between the two regarding offense vs defense and power vs Condi, but without more uses for healing power and ferocity, it doesn’t quite provide enough to match up for a mesmer.
I just want to point out that you can now alter the stats on ascended armor/weapons in the mystic forge.

It’s way cheaper than crafting a second set, but definitely not free. Important to know that it’s an option, though!
