At this point I’m lead to believe the bugs we have cannot be fixed.

I understand it’s not easy, it takes time. How much time? I’m tired of waiting and refuse to spend anymore money on this game until something is changed.

So if you can’t fix the bugs (Or at least the ones that NEED to be fixed) can we get our skills changed? I mean a complete rework, no bandaids. Maybe that’ll be easier to do then fix these bugs.

We need a build that is viable that doesn’t focus on AI
We need a build that can focus on AI and not bug out
We need stronger range DPS (Light armor Melee sucks and so does the GS)
We need skills that don’t only work sometimes (Because of faulty game mechanics)
We need clones that don’t die instantly in AOE/Zergs

In all my years of playing MMO’s I’ve never seen such desperation for bug fixes on a class that has lasted this long!

What would you like to see change?
Do you have anymore hope in the Mesmer class?

What I’ve mostly been thinking is turning shatters into a personal buff that stacks up on your toon. (with no cap allowing for odd situations don’t case for wasted DPS unless there is an obvious exploit)

Mind Wrack – your next attacks (times the number of clones shattered) do damage to your target based on the same coefficient (wiki without coefficient numbers 244 damage) of current one clone mind wrack per hit and cleaves in a 240 range even for single target skills. (simular to a fire sigil proc)

This is increased damage but you give up surprise to a readable damage, also less blind cleave which imo warrents the side buff AND helps a bit with the unreliable AoE mesmer damage.

Cry of Confusion and Diversion working in the same method as above. but keep their respective effects. I do see a lot of people worrying about diversion, but if it’s an identifiable stack on the mesmer after they shatter it’s a fair enough tell to allow people to play around it.

As for Distortion I think it works pretty well, I do think a base 60sec c/d is a bit much when you consider how much every medium proff as well as war, guard, and eles can chain their evades, blocks, invulns, stealths and heals, all with the exception of guard having great escape-ability. (in b4 not every class can stealth noob! No kitten it was a general comment to point out the chain of defensive or low risk sustain) Clearly this stuff is out playable, but seems abit second class when you only have one maybe two if you count Blurred frenzy both of which kill your momentum. So although this may be based on a biased opinion I think Distortion should be a base 45 sec c/d before illusion tree shatter reduction. Even if my Distortion change is considered OP I do think the inital suggestion for the format of how shatters work is a valid consideration with the health of the class in mind

As for how clones and phants work is that they should be invulnerable (but shatterable) until the end of their first inital attack.

because of the way mesmer is designed without a TOTAL REWAORK OF THE CLASS I don’t think “build that is viable that doesn’t focus on AI” is purely possible, Phants are always going to mean lower coefficients on base skills, and I highly doubt removing phant casting and clone casting abilities is ever going to be a thing. But I do think it is possible to set up the class so you have the options to ignore your summons and just use them as resources.

As for focusing on AI and not bugging out… Making more lax rules on how they spawn and how they behave would prob make things better before making them worse. (frankly for example I thought I warden worked better before, tho I think it’d be better if it spawend in your targets face with a bit of immunity so you don’t need to dance around to make use of the projectile blocking.)
