Chaotic Interruption help
This is what I’m running in WvW atm
If you want to be able to handle 1vX situations better, getting staff into the mix will take you further for sustain than GS. GS gives you that raw dps output though. So you could take a happy medium and take GS/Staff.
OH sword is a great 1v1 weapon and the block/daze is really handy. I don’t know if its the best weapon though. Focus provides way more utility as well as AoE application. The interrupt is also easier to land (even if you get cc’d once that curtain is down). Then there’s also pistol which can be better in that environment. Both the iDuelist and Magic Bullet are more reliable at applying their effects than OH4 and iSwordsman. Sword/sword IS good, don’t get me wrong. But it’s better if it’s traited, and you’ve got some bonus phant damage traits in the mix.
Anyway generally speaking, increase your mobility and sustain for WvW. Travellers runes suck too btw. Pack runes + focus is good, or anything else. I understand though, you’re trying to solve your landspeed issues and you feel that Travellers is the only way, despite being a half-hearted (*cough*25%BS*cough*) effort.

PU can easily be swapped for CI. I use torch mainly for increased survival in 1vX and for cleanses. Also note the Sigil of Cleansing.
Staff has better defense but less damage and can’t chase, so that’s up to you.
Also, i like Traveller’s, but that’s personal preference ^^ You could use Centaur + Mantra of Restoration in something like 0/6/6/2/0 for Mender’s Purity. Giving up Halting Strike will cost you a good amount of damage, though.

I tried you build yesterday (with CI instead of PU), really nice. I am missing some boon ripping though, tried shattered concentration instead of torch spec, first thing I run into is a condi ranger. I melted. The reason I tried this was a warrior I couldn’t hurt due to some kitten boons.
Any ideas on how to get some ripping into the build, without changing the utilities? My play style is so centered around blink and decoy and no MoD in an interrupt build feels naked.
I also tried it with staff against an engineer but I could barely harm him, ran away and switched to GS and he went down swiftly.
Edit: Just thought of Sigil of Nullification but it’s just 1 boon every 10 sec.

You could change one of the sigils on GS to Purity/Generosity and see if that helps. With CI i would also use http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Sweet_Bean_Bun if you can afford them, since they bring iLeap and CI immobilize to 3s while also providing defense against conditions.
Also, without torch trait you might consider focus since it provides another interrupt, projectile block and possibility for cleansing bolts.

That bun is now on my shopping list. Might try focus, I recently fell in love with it but the stealth on torch #5 is so good though, I only solo roam so it’s very useful. Thanks.

If asura, is it possible to spawn a second golem?
nice build, near perma swiftness and long duration on all cripples including clone death allowing you to kite even better while in combat, with your staff no one should be able to ever get in melee unless your using your sword blurred frenzy. Lots of control and reasonable 1vX though 1vX isnt even possible vs players of your skill so unless your fight JQ and Sanctum of Rall expect to lose most of those outnumbered fights.
higher damage option, more like ross’ build but i think this one makes more mathematical sense when it comes to damage, less cripple but more boon strip
