Looking for a good build for doing solo PvE content in HoT with a chrono. Right now I’m this.

I’m still working on getting hero points for the last rank of chrono traits and a few missing wells.

Any advice?

You want blink. Consider Decoy as well.

Do you really need shield on OH? IMO sword is better simply because of the damage, you kill everything faster and with some dodges you have 0 problems tanking anything.

Shield is nice for running through packs of mobs without taking any dmg, of which new maps have quite a few of.

Personally I just run a staff build with chrono line for that 25% speed boost. Works very well, especially vs hard hitting mobs, of which the new maps have quite a few as well.

Shield gives extra quickness to your group and CC, can’t go wrong with it. Plus I find it very useful in DS during the circle numbing phase, when I have to run through a dozen archers and trackers.

Works extremely well for me. Feels like the perfect balance between damage and survival. Im able to deal pretty good dmg while still surviving pretty much anything. If you just notice your foe a bit, you can mostly get through all of the fight cycling between distortion, block and hard cc, so your foe can’t damage you (of course it’s harder with Breakbars, that’s where you usually have to dodge)

It’s probably not optimal, but it works really well for me. Even without having full Chrono spec yet

Edit: I’m talking strictly PvE here, PvP is a whole different story…
