Heavens Rage
Class IV Hemorrhage
Heavens Rage
This looks like a fun setup, thanks for sharing it! I hadn’t paid attention to the Krait runes – those are interesting.
The only downside to this setup is that bleeds from the sharper images traitline are not affected by condition duration modifiers, only bleeds applied from you are.
how much does it tick for usually range wise?
edit: someone else posted same answer before I hit send heh
I run with a condition build on my Mesmer!
Think I’m specced something like 0/25/25/0/20
I’ve got around 1100 Condition Damage and bleed hits for around 104 damage a tick. Not too shabby! Confusion is also pretty potent at around 300 damage on skill activation. A Cry of Frustration on a PvE enemy usually nets me one or two hits of 1800.
Phantasmal duelist is a BEAST hitting for his own damage plus 4 stacks of bleed.
A quick question though! A lot of my conditions come from my clones and I was under the impression that condition duration doesn’t transfer to your clones (condition damage does though). If that’s true, you could swap some of those sigils out for something else! I run with Undead myself.
As people have said, +condition duration has no effect on conditions inflicted by Illusions. I would get 6 Runes of the Undead instead.
I can see this working somewhat if you wanted to focus on bleeds for your mesmer. I was thinking to try something like this for fun sometime. Since staff is such a wacky weapon with all the randomness. I think it would be best to find a set of runes that just effects condition duration as a whole like 4 piece nightmare and and another set. then eat some rare veggie pizza. if you could get duration up decently to say 5 secs on any effect from winds of chaos and chaos storm it could be nasty.
There is a post somewhere on guildhead.com that talks about how condition duration cant be better than condi damage if you can increase the duration long enough

and what about instead of using staff to get bleed, use GS with the sigil that gives 60% chance to bleed on crit?
lets look at the numbers:
Staff has a chance to aply bleed, burn or weakness(?) thats a 33% chance to bleed per hit
now with a 50% crit chance plus that sigil you get an average of 30% chance to bleed on hit but each GS attack hits 3 times and is considerably faster than the Staff
so in the end you should get about 3 times more bleed procs from the GS, am I right?
I like to avoid focusing on a single condition lest they just remove it (unless you’re really good at piling up cover conditions, but even then they wouldn’t last as long as the bleed). If you’re using the Staff, chances are you’re inflicting a bit of everything anyway, so I’ll second the Undead runes.
oh i was thinking in a PvE scenario btw, for PvP there is another whole story…
