This is what I (think I) know about clone auto-attacks so far. Hoping to get some help/validation.
Clones attack using the <Weapon 1> of the 2h/MH weapon equipped by the Mesmer when summoned.
Staff Clone – casts Winds of Chaos, which bounces, but does not gain extra bounces from Illusionary Elasticity. As this typically bounces from foe to ally, typically only has a single chance to proc Sharper Image Bleeds
Great Sword Clone – casts Spatial Surge, which ticks three times, each of which may crit and proc Sharper Image Bleeds
Scepter Clone – casts Ether Bolt, but not the full chain so no Ether Clone. Ether Clone doesn’t apply confuse anyways (bad tooltip).
Sword Clone – casts Mind Slash chain and applies vulnerability and boon removal. Only the clone cast with Illusionary Leap may be used with Swap.
Trident Clone – casts Siren’s Call, which bounces, but does not gain extra bounces from Illusionary Elasticity.
Spear Clone – casts Stab. Feigned Surge only leaves behind a clone if you use Feign.
<Other> Clone – you can summon clones while wielding other weapons (utility skills/traits). These sometimes spawn /w the weapon graphic, but usually with no weapon graphic. Likewise, when you’re in a ‘suit’ you can spawn clones. These clones do not appear to have an active <1> skill they can use to attack. Likewise, if your suit cannot dodge (just ‘dashes’), then Deceptive Evasion does not trigger to create clones. Haven’t figured out how this works with player summoned weapons like Banners yet.
Questions:
1) Do Sword Clones hit multiple targets? If so, can they apply vulnerability & Sharper Image Bleeds to multiple targets?
2) How many bounces does Siren’s Call get? Can each bounce apply Sharper Images bleeds?
