Condition Mesmer Trait Problem (PvE)
PvE condie mesmer is bad, but it’s not really linked to those 2 traits being in the same slot. It’s bad because of a slow rampup time, the need to completely reset damage after most mechanics, and its absolutely pure single target nature. The single target damage it does is fine though.
How about they change Fury to grant 420 Precision? Then just delete PF…

Make it so boons have ZERO affect on illusions, but change them to scale with percentage modifiers on us.

They could swap the positions of PF and Master Fencer. PF is desirable in all mes builds, condi and power alike. Fury is also an extremely common boon, which makes MF pretty ‘meh’ Grandmaster minor in many situations, but with the way boon priority works, pets rarely get it.
Asides confusion we’re lacking basic condi durations traits, traits like chaotic transference should scale with precision and overall lack of condi diversity and application (wheres our 10k burn huh T_T)
Scepter 2 whilst powerful is poop in a phantasm build, it should not replace a phantasm

If the fight is long enough, if you cap bleed duration and have high enough crit chance, you can easily maintain 50 stack of bleed from your duelist. That is when the third pop (after 16 sec without alacrity), every 7 sec, the three duelists apply on average 9 stacks of 12 sec bleed each so yes, around 50 stacks of bleed all the time after something like 20 sec of ramp up. There was a post on reddit where the guy said this single target condi build was like 20 k dps on VG… so not so powerful but quite good though.
I think the buff of the duelist trait was intended to not move the fury trait.
i’m just going to point out, that the duelist discipline and 80% crit chance will give you more bleed than a 100% crit chance
phantasmal duelist hits 8 time, so 8 bleed procs at 100% crit chance
8*.8= 6.4 so 6 and .5*8=4 so a total of 10.4 on average
so while they are in the same group duelist beats fury for a condi build
having the ability to get both gets you an extra 1.6 bleed stacks
i have to agree 32s charge up time is not good
the potential 5s isn’t bad but this requires 9 seconds alarcity, a lucky interrupt and continuum shift

To be honest, I am kinda suspect the 20k dps ppl reported. I tested condie mesmer damage in PvP lobby. The damage reaches as high as 6.5k -7k dps. This is slightly less than condie engi’s damage and comparable to condie warrior’s damage
However, in real fight environement, others benefit from quickness and alacrity while our phantasms do not. This really should increase a bigger gap in dps than in PvP lobby.
Yea those traits suck at the same place. They should swap the PH with fencers – why would you want to trait pistol AND sword anyway? One is for condi, the other power, they are on the same level.
Another thing they sould change are ALL clone traits and skills. They changed scepter 1, 3rd aa chain to something awesome! It’s really what the scepter needed. Now do this for all the blocks and GS 2 / staff 2 and clone on dodge aswell! They need this!!!
