Being fairly new to the class I was wondering how the experts here deal with condi spam? I tried torch with the condi removal, but I prefer the focus. I do have a few sigils of generosity I have had since beta, but will they be enough to keep me condi free whilst roaming?

Mantra of Resolve - 20 second cooldown, 2 charges to cleanse i think 2 conditions from you and people around you

Nullfield - rips enemies boons and removes conditions off you and your allies

Phantasmal Disenchanter - Summon a phantasm that removes boons from foes and cures conditions on allies

Arcane Thievery - Send three conditions you have to your foe and steal three of their boons

Also dodging / evading skills that apply condis and running away from foes that are too tanky and condition heavy for you to beat

I actually don’t run any condition removal (and historically the standard spvp shatter build doesn’t either). I rely on avoiding conditions, clones and stealth to soak damage and if this fails, disengaging if I happen to catch a bunch.

That said, I’d use mantra of resolve (instead of portal) if they were up against a heavy condition lineup.

Thanks for all the replies, I will try to avoid them whenever possible. Unlike my necro that was my main for over 5k hours it will be nice to get away when the kitten hits the fan.

@Tommyknocker is your question about PvP? If yes, i have a crazy condition burst build, with enough defenses and conditions removal to hold 2vs1 for few minutes ! Godlike build ^.^ i’m running it atm and it’s pretty powerful if You want it, add me ingame @Werynn Teh Poetic

I will add you, and thanks. I was going for more a WvW roaming speck, but I see no harm in looking at a “godlike build”.

It Just needs some skill but got an awful potential ^^ ses u later ingame, i’m at work atm
