80 Necromancer (IRNY), 80 Guardian (IRNY)
GW2: it’s like DAoC, but for the WoW crowd.
Anyone else notice that Confusion is being reduced underwater and while in down state? I was under the assumption that nothing increased or decreased the damage done by condition damage (as far as +Damage% and -Damage% stat).
I have 1330 Condition Damage and 3 stacks of confusion on my target underwater was hitting for 290 damage. 3 Stacks of Confusion should hit for 990 (330 each). Anyone have a clue what’s going on?
Probably an oversight. Mesmer confusion damage sucked so bad they had to double the damage output for PvE and I would imagine they just didn’t boost the underwater outputs. While PvP confusion damage remains the same.
Do you have also 1330 Condition Damage with your underwater gear?
Is there any condition damage or any traits (which influences condition damage) depending on your weapon? How about the breather?
Maybe I am totally wrong, but that came to my mind after reading your text. ^^
Or do you mean you have 1330 and it should hit for 990, but it does not?
I noticed that aswell when I was trying a confusion build a few weeks ago. 10 stacks of confusion would do like 4k damage per hit on ground, but only like 1.2k underwater.
(forgot exact numbers, but there is a huge difference)
Its to balance sirens call. Since trident clones cause confusion, its easily stack able. If it did the same damage it did on land it would be overpowered because no one would be able to fight back.
I highly doubt that it is because of a bug.
The damage drop could be from the underwater weapons and helm. Im guessing your land helm is better than your breather at least.
Going from 990 to 290 would require a lot more reduction then from 1 or 2 items stat differences.
The Confusion damage dealt by each Illusion and yourself is shown separately. So say you have 9 stacks of Confusion on a target, with every 3 stacks inflicted by a different Trident Clone. If 9 stacks is meant to deal 1800 damage, when the target activates a skill the damage will be shown separately for each Clone; i.e. it will show as 3 splats of 600 damage.
Another bug linked to this is that if an Illusion dies, condition damage dealt by it will no longer show up, although it will still work. I also think that Confusion splats sometimes just don’t show up if there’s too many numbers flying around, but I have nothing to back this up.
