With IP being baseline, won’t you get like 3 sec of continuum split effect by simply shattering without any clones?

I keep reading that you’d need illusions for it to work, but does it really?

If it doesn’t I can see a kamikaze opening attack (usable in many game modes potentially) a viable strategy…

If I saw it right yesterday on the stream the mesmer DID NOT have any shatter effect on himself. This means that we can’t tell if it will work.

The fact that he didn’t have iPersona could be because of BETA or because they made the decision to not make it baseline.

Has anyone records of the stream to tell if I saw it right??

You need always cast a illusion and shatter it. Add that Continuum Rift can be destroyed easily and you have 3 seconds to put it in a safe place and cast all skills, etc, or be really fast before be destroyed by AOE in WvW, bosses , etc.

But I don’t know if it’ll work with IP baseline.

So maybe while Chronomancer gets Continuum, they lose IP? Maybe that’s the uniqueness of the mesmer people might come back to the mesmer for?

Who knows. Could also just have been for demonstration purpose, that he summoned a clone before.
