So with the global CD on shatters killing my main self-heal build, I have to shift to something else for a little while to compensate.
This is an all-melee phantasm build that uses the Altruism runeset’s bonuses along with the Charr Battle Roar to maximize the damage output of phantasms while providing a mountain of defensive bonuses for you and your illusions.
Let me know what you think, this build has been pretty trusty in Orr and wvw so far.

If you put 10 in Illusion, you don’t need that rune for Fury. I would suggest Water (Heal on heal) or Dwayna (Regen on heal) rune and also the bugged Signet of Illusion.
I can tank Broodmother and Champions melee with Water rune. Never tried in WvWvW with tanky heal spec.
Thanks for the video, I have never tried phantasm spec but this looks interesting. What do you think of Phantasmal Haste? I can see it would be hard to fit in while retaining the 30% damage for phantasms from the power/healing lines, cutting 5 of healing and dueling could work but the pistol cooldown trait is great for the range bonus…
Btw, in PvE, Knight = Toughness (major), Power/Precision (minor). The PvP stats are somewhat different for some reason…
I super love Runes of Altruism for a PvE dungeon support build with Restorative Mantras and Mantra of Recovery. might and fury for everyone!

Phantasmal Haste is a waste imo, the difference in attack frequency is just too minor to really add up to anything (especially when you consider you can just cycle your phantasms and the ones used in this build already attack frequently enough)
As for the cutting 5 from the healing, that reflection is better than you’d think, nobody expects it in wvw <3
