Desparate Decoy and Downed State
Why though? Its already a strong trait, and the extra clone will never be a true distraction against a competent player. They are good for shatter fodder and that’s about it. Even if we did get a clone that unstealthed before we do, any good player will just not attack the first mesmer to get revealed, and wait to find us.

maybe also give mesmers a clone that can ress them because mesmers are not kittening annoying enough to fight yet

a QoL change is polishing a description of a skill or adding better visuals and such
what you suggest are straight up buffs that directly affect the gameplay
So I’m not necessarily against the changes that were mentioned, but calling those QoL is simply lying.
For roleplaying purposes I genuinely like the idea of the clone from the trait being a downed one, assuming it also uses the downed attack and all.
(I’m generally in favor of anything which makes clones appear more believable, no matter how tiny the individual change is, because I’d love a Mesmer which genuinely is about hiding between your clones.)
