Am I missing something? Or did our overall damage decrease? I’m running a standard 20/20/0/0/30 or sometimes 10/30/0/0/30 for more dmg with GS or Staff/Sw+Pi/Sw/Fo (depending on how I feel) and it kind of seems like the process of snaring and shattering is kittened. It used to flow so nicely now I barely get them to half health with one full well placed shatter.

Did other classes get buffed or have we been nerfed? I’ve read patch notes and props to A-net for most of our “fixes” but I don’t remember any strait dmg nerf.

On a side note I was curios about one thing I had a question about in terms of balance.

Lots of classes can 100-0 a glass cannon in a few seconds. Mes has always seemed to be 100-30/50% then our main burst is on c/d and we gotta pee shooter the last bit. Or widely them down to 50% and finish with a shatte. But if we roll glass cannon with 2-4 doges, and 2 distorts, 0-2 hard stuns, and a bunch of rather moderate C/Cs like daze/imob/knock depending what you spec into. Does it not feel a little kittened in terms of either survivability or dmg for how squishy we ultimately are?

“But you get clones” let be honest here very few people who are r20+ actually fall for that. Most of the time it’s about dropping a marker on the real mes and burst him. Unless markers and targets drop when we make a clone like first advertised this will always be a non factor.

I guess we have invis but that’s in a long c/d.

TL;DR

Did anything change to our dmg since the last 2 major patches
And is our dmg to survivability ratio as glass really fair when one considers clones as pointless for misdirection (thus survivability) in sPvP?

mesmers also have one of the best damage to survivability ratios as glass cannon. on par with thieves. if you don’t think so, then you’re doing it wrong.

Dmg is the same (minus beserker bug) – I still burst people from 100-0
Our survivability im pretty sure is the second highest just under thieves

Other thing is our burst combo is rather predictable and people better understand our class now. Its not hard to pop a block/evade/invulnerability on us when they get rooted. That might be why youre not getting them down to 0 maybe.

Hi mate.

I not sure, I have not noticed any dmg % nerf like Flimp I often insta kill ppl with a burst, Regarding our survival its a special case for mesmers, if we do it correct its like Wads say. Regulary see 20k + burst dmg in wvwvw and thats on up to 3 targets in mele range, not sure what more you expect our class to do in terms of dmg.

This is filmed the other day, survival as you see in 2nd part is no problem and dmg is fine. Feel free to have a look in my guide and if you have any questions im happy to answer. If you more into tPvP the best mesmer to ask in this forum I would say Nero.
