Disenchanter question
1. I think he always targets you, and the bounces go to whoever is closest, although the wiki says he prioritizes allies
2. 4.5 seconds untraited; the numbers for the traited version differ in the wiki
3. the oldest phantasm gets replaced
To add to 3, iirc (been a little while since I’ve played mesmer) if you have 2 phants + 1 clone it’ll always replace the clone over the phantasm. Just something I thought was worthwhile to add But, yes oldest phantasm if you have 3 up, which is why say offhand sword block can be dangerous, though you can hit escape after the block and cancel the cast of the clone (another good thing to know
)
The disenchanter uses an attack. As with all attacks in the game (only exception being merciful intervention), the attack is targeted at and must hit an enemy. The disenchanter uses a bouncing projectile. When the projectile hits an enemy, it rips two boons. When it hits an ally, it removes two conditions.
Once it hits an enemy, the projectile can then bounce to allies. The range of the bounce is roughly 400-500 range.
The attack speed of the disenchanter is roughly 4.5 seconds per attack. This drops to roughly 3.6 seconds per attack when traited.
If you have 3 phantasms up, spawning any illusion will destroy the oldest phantasm.

Right… why did I not guess that. Shouldn’t post when tired (and distracted on top of that). Two boons/conditions? Wow. I kinda thought it removes only one… but the wiki indeed says two, haha. And I’ve even looked at that page last night…
But yeah, I’ve never really used it a lot. It’s good in theory, but in practice, I’ve just found it to be very unreliable. It dies easily (and also dies if you shatter), and you need a target to be able to remove condis… which can be a death sentence in situations where you REALLY need that condi-removal.
Well was a duel,so i had no trouble to be within 400 range from target,thou it might be problem in normal fight.Still it sounds pretty strong,every 4.5sec?!?That amazing.
But,the bounce is random?Or if am close enough to target,i will have priority for bounce?
As for being destroyed,am using signet of ilusion almost everywhere,so i dont have really troubles with that.Also its on 20sec CD and its range,it shouldnt get close to eat cleaves or random aoe.
thanks for info guys
