Do Illusions have X-Ray vision?
As long as they aren’t hitting you while in stealth…I don’t see a problem. And clones ARE technically pets, regardless of how disposable they may be. I’d suggest, if they start attacking you as soon as you exit your stealth, you may want to adjust accordingly. OR…you could come on to the forums and complain about it.

They all wear a Nano Suit and can see where you’re hiding.
Well the reason I came on the forums is because it doesn’t seem logical for them to be able to instantly aggro you when you’re nowhere near them, have no sight of you and the player has no clue you’re there. I don’t know why people get so negative when a genuine question / comment is raised.
Mesmer Illusions can’t jump.
Mesmer Illusions don’t switch targets.
Mesmer Illusions can fail to be created on cast.
Mesmer Illusions can easily die, whether taking the smallest of damage or their target dies.
Mesmer Illusions may be created by a Mesmer, but they are sustained by YOU the foe.
If Mesmer Illusions could switch targets and didn’t die when their target goes out of range/dies? Yeah, I can see them loosing track of you. As it is, their brief existence is solely dedicated to hunting you down and trying to attack you.
Part of you is connected to the Illusion since that first cast. If you dodged/blinded/invulnerable against that first cast, it doesn’t connect and doesn’t spawn the Illusion. If you were hit, then the illusion is linked to you and thats how the Illusion can track you once your protective Stealth falls.

hence the whole illusion thing… I personally think it would be ridiculously cool if the only people that the illusions were visible to were the target they were cast on and the memser. After all this class is supposed to be a mind kitten… How much more crazy does it get when no one else but you and the Mesmer can see the illusions!

Would be nice, but then they’d probably have to cater to that and make clones per-target, therefore allowing players to have more than 3 clones out… just 3 per target.
Mechanically of course, that would hurt us quite a bit in 1vX scenarios. The chaos created by clone spam has saved me many times.

Sorry if you felt I jumped down your throat. It’s just that these forums get inundated with players crying for nerfs. I apologize if you weren’t here to complain.

They know where you are because they only exist in your mind. Can you hide from your own imagination?

They behave just like any other temporary or permanent pet (Thieves, Elementalists, Necromancers, Rangers, Mesmers, Guardians, they all have these). They leave you alone when stealthed, but “track” you, so they can re-engage once you’re out of stealth.
As of this patch, PvE mobs also behave this way (that was inconsistent before).
Illusions exist in your mind: they are your fears, your insecurities, your paranoia. You can try to hide your feelings, but you cannot escape them.
