Silent Banana: 79 lvl Thief Human
Mr Zesiro: 25 lvl Mesmer Asura
If for example i take the following traits:
*Illusionists Celerity: Illusion-summoning skills recharge 20% faster.
*Phantasmal Haste: Phantasms recharge 20% faster.
*Greatsword Training: +50 power while wielding a greatsword. Reduces recharge of greatsword skills by 20%.
Will this mean that my Phantasms when weilding a greatsword will recharge 60% faster?
Phantsmal Haste decreases the Phantasms’ recharge rate. It decreases their skills CDs, not your Phantasm summoning skills CD. Basically, it increases their attack speed.
That’s the difference between:
“Phantasms recharge 20% faster”
and
“Phantasm-summonig skills recharge 20% faster”
Do celerity and training recharge traits stack though?
I don’t believe the “Weapon Training” recharge timers affect illusion-summoning abilities. I believe this is why these traits get bonus affects (i.e., +power or +precision) that other similar profession traits do not receive.
Faster recharge of “Weapon Training” traits do stack with faster illusion-summoning. I have noticed equipping faster illusion-summoning reduces my staff skill 2 to 8 seconds or so, and further equipping the “Staff Training” trait reduced it to about 5 seconds give or take. The tooltip doesn’t show, but if you turn on the cooldown timer on skills you’ll see the effects.
They stack, are intended to stack, at least.
A lot of them don’t work right though.
Phantasmal Haste doesn’t work right either, sometimes increasing the rate of attack on phantasms MASSIVELY, othertimes not at all.
Awesome. Thanks. I was hoping to get Staff 2 and GS 2 down. by picking up all three traits ( both training and celerity ).
Celerity and training recharge traits do stack but I believe the tooltip is still bugged where it doesn’t show that it does. If you test it though you will see that it indeed stacks.
Yeah I assumed it was just a tooltip goof. Very good news. Staff 2 saves mykitten a lot. Sword 2 is humorous 1v1 with the extra bounce and reduced CD. Just thought I’d ask for sanity check reasons. Thanks for the info.
Glad to see that it is just a tooltip issue — that really makes the Mesmer weapon-specific traits much stronger than other professions, which is a bit odd.
