we can’t hit anything if no target

can we have it can hit same as other weapen? without target also can hit

Sword has cleave on auto-attack.

Most skills have a target in order to assign illusions an “owner”.

Very few ranged weapons can auto-attack without a target (guardian staff with range of 600 is the only one I can think of immediately). Elementalist has active abilities which are ground-targeted, but no auto-attacks.

Mesmer scepter can autoattack without any target, chaining through the skills and everything. Its useful to blow through the initial 2 attacks while getting in range of an enemy so that you can spawn a clone immediately once the fight starts

i mean when we don’t have target.
our 111 still can cast hit for a ranged
( no need fulll max range, but if can also better )

even switch to action mode also same

Also I don’t see why this is a problem. If you don’t have a target then you wouldn’t be able to hit anything with GS1 even if you could use the skill….

mesmer gs and druid staff #1 are beams, so they need a target.
bows are projectiles, you shoot and they simply go flying. You can’t compare them

at last should can use on 240 range at front
for more near real beam
if think too far will too op

More important question is; can mesmers please create clones without targeting someone first?

Mesmer has a disadvantage on action camera. This is because mesmer has to look to cast phantasms. On normal camera mesmer can just cast whike his back is turned. This applies to all long range casters. This makes action cam give melee an advantage in a sense.

it can do with choose the far target for make it now
and all skill has a max target limit
