Has anyone tested how blind affects shatters? I’m assuming blinding the real mesmer won’t do anything but what about blinding the clones rushing in for a shatter?

staff elemental air 2 hits multiple targets and blinds them. Also have a trait that blinds after a roll.

Hard to tell exactly because Shatters also randomly miss/are too far from the target to effect them.

Shatters count as attacks from the Mesmer, not from Illusions. This is evident in the fact that Confusion inflicted by Shatters is affected by +CondDuration. Therefore Blinding Clones wouldn’t affect Shatters.

Whether inflicting Blind on the Mesmer would affect Shatters I don’t know. If I had to guess I’d say it affects the first Illusion but not subsequent ones unless it was reinflicted.

Blinding clones does not do anything for shatters.

Blinding the Mesmer will work in some way. A 3 clone Mind Wrack + Blind -> first clone will not hit MW, the other two clones will hit. Same goes for CoF and Diversion.

I believe it would be possible to negate all the shatters this way like with Well of Darkness, although you’d have to be lucky with the clone distance etc.
