I am having trouble getting rewards for most dynamic events. Other profs like warrior just go in and kill everything before I can get off clones to shatter or phantasms… I am still quite low level so I was wondering if this continues in later levels or if it gets better with traits, or if it’s just something I’ll have to deal with… Thanks!

If you’re low level, you shouldn’t have problems at all. I have yet to see what people complains about at high level(Orr?), which I’m probably not going to be at until atleast 2 more weeks. I’ve personally haven’t had any problems tagging in DEs so far. I’m currently exploring Sparkfly Fen(50-60), then I will jump to 55+ maps afterward. So up to 50-60 maps, I haven’t had any problems with DEs.

I didn’t use my clones and phantasms much for DEs with crowds of mobs at low level. Grab a Sword+(Off-Hand) and you should be fine for the most part. The 2 first hits of 1 are AoEs, then you have Blurred Frenzy for nice and quick damage as well as 2 seconds of immunity.

As you have problems with DEs, I will suggest the Focus. When you get familiar more with the Sword in MH, or mesmers for that matter, you will probably feel that you don’t need Focus anymore, for DEs, and can swap for whatever OH you prefer.

Focus can be great for crowd of mobs if well used. Temporal Curtain grant 10s of Swiftness of whoever walks on it(great when exploring maps), as well as crippling foes who walks on it. Temporal Curtain can be destroyed to pull mobs to it. It might takes a while until you get used to it, so you can pull properly instead of scattering them more than they were. iWarden is great if you summon him on a crowd of mobs. A combo that you can do with this is Temporal Curtain>Into The Void then use iWarden on top of them for nice AoE damages if well used. Make sure that the mobs has something to target and that they aren’t going to use AoEs within the next few seconds before summong him.
