The Warper
A ES for mes with pistol main hand. It’s based around position control and aoe. The new utilities are traps, which provide aoe knock backs. Also adds a new kinds of combo fields (Allowing for a unique ability to provide them for a team): displacement and mirror. Also a new aura: Mirror Aura: it reflects projectiles.

Displacement: Appears as a black fog hovering over the area.

Aoe knock back (300) to foes.
Knocksdown the foe you strike with the leap for ½ sec.
Knocks back the foe 100 range.
Pulls foes in aoe.
Mirror: Appears as a reflective metal color with an image based on the skill. For example, for the skill infinite moons, you see a bunch of moons in the mirror.

Aoe mirror aura for 4 secs.
Gain mirror aura for 5 secs.
If you are a mes, it will summon a clone. If not, gives you might for 5 secs.
Reflects projectiles while in whirl. Reflected projectiles deal double damage.
Special Mechanic: Spacial Shattering: Shatter that destroys one illusion per use and is a 450 range teleport. No cd, due to it only being able to be used in combat.
Pistol Attacks (900 range)
Spinning Bullet: Pistol shot that glows pink and has a visible spinning effect. Deals decent damage. Short precast and aftercast. (20%projectile finisher)
Refracting Shot: Pink pistol shot that bounces to foes behind the target. (20 % projectile finisher)
Fragmented Blast: Fire a pink pistol shot that fragments into 3 weaker shots once it hits your target. (20% blast finisher)
Space Warp: Teleport backwards, and create an displacement field between you and your previous location. 20 sec cd.
Reverse Course: Fire a bullet that teleports you to the person you hit. Deals low damage. (projectile finisher)
Warp Back: Fire a final bullet at your target that knocks them back.
Infinite Reflection: Enter a stance for 3 secs. Fire a magic bullet at every projectile within 600 range that destroys that projectile and summons a clone that uses Spinning Bullet. At end of 3 secs, creates a mirror field for 4 secs at your location. 25 sec cd.
Heal Trap
Infinite Moons: Heal a small amount and place down a trap. When the trap is triggered, stun the foes in its area for 1 sec. It pulses 2K healing every sec for 4 secs to allies in its area. Mirror field. 30 sec cd.
Utility Traps
Displaced Space: Place down a trap. It doesn’t ‘trigger’, but serves as a reference place for the skill it flips into. 75 sec cd.
Vacuumed Space: Place down a trap that teleports the foe that triggered it and any other foe that walks into it for 3 secs to the displaced space. Displaced apce has to be within 2100 range. Displacement field.
Nothingness: Place a trap. When it triggers, any foes in it are blinded for 4 secs. It also stuns anyone in it for 2 secs. Dark field. 40 sec cd.
One Million Mirrors: Place a trap. When triggered, it creates a circle of fields that knocks any foes trying to exit it back inside, and knocks any foes on the outside who touch it to inside it. 5 sec duration. Mirror field. 45 sec cd.
Infinite Suns: Place a trap. When triggered, it pulses 3K damage to foes every sec and dazes them upon activation for ½ sec. Mirror field. 5 sec duration.20 sec cd.
Elite Trap
Spacial Overload: Place a trap. When triggered, it floats foes for 1 sec, then knocks them down for 1 sec, then pulls foes to the center for 1 sec, then stuns them for 1 sec. At the end of it, it explodes, dealing massive damage. Displacement field. Blast finisher at the end. 4 sec duration. 90 sec cd.

Theme sounds good – I like the displacement feature.
Elite skill is too similar to gravity well so I think that could be more unique.
Perhaps too much reflect will cause a lot of qq due to projectile hate.
But I like the core theme for sure.
I like the idea, but in all honesty I feel Mesmer has enough AoE-type utilities as is, especially with Chronomancer and Wells. What would be nice with your ESpec would be to give Mesmers Stances utility type. Considering your espec is heavily reliant on positioning, there’s ways to make it work nicely. Moreover, GW1 mesmers had a LOT of stances.
