Guild Wars 2

PU builds, short for ‘Prismatic Understanding’, are really easy because they have a huge margin for error due to their emphasis on defensive boons and stealth. You can’t do much with it aside from annoy people, but it is much more survivable. Nobody good plays it though, so once you get comfortable with the s/tPvP mechanics you’ll want to switch to a shatter build.

Shatter is not an easy to play build for new comers, but if you’re interested in it, I would point you to Supcutie’s shatter guide because not only is he a boss, but he’s an all round nice guy:

Try PU build by Osicat, got so much fun. 4 games, 3 wins. Relay easy to run. I think shater is nice burst build, but takes time to learn how play.

PU by far. Tankier builds are very much easier to get used to the game with, so condition builds are ideal.

Shatter is a better build in my opinion, but its much more difficult to play because of how much squisher you are.

Hi, I’ve used a berserker version of the build in this forum post by Pyroatheist for most of my mesmer life. It was very easy to play and effective although I must disclaim it is a rather old post and I have not played my mesmer for about 1 month.

It’s strong suit is the 1vs1 scenario and will be less effective (but still good) in group play.

phantasm or shatter. The post above has a good phant spec, any shatter spec will do. Just make sure you make it your own, change stuff up little by little every match and see how much you like/dont like it.

DO NOT PLAY PU, it’s a worthless spec. Once you get out of the noob que you will find people /laughing and running past you instead of mindlessly chasing you alone till they die, get angry and make stupid posts on the mesmer forum about how OP PU is. Or you will be in teamfights doing 0 damage being a waste of space, and every time you pop up the hambow warrior will be playing pop the mesmer since there is no pressure being put on him dps wise.
