Fairytail's Finest (Build)
Gear
Weapons:
Staff: Autos give boons/ condis
- gives good disengage.
- applies decent dmg but more importantly bleed on crits.
- good defensive
- CAN INTERRUPT, gives good boons/ condis
Scepter:
auto is meh. get clones
- block goes along with retalitory shield for some retaliation.
- this is a condi build….. free 5 stacks of confusion.
Pistol:
- this. thing. does. work. (bleed on crit) so lets say our phanta hits all crits. thats 8 stacks of bleed alone. not including you attacking or your other two illusions. sometimes you can even get two of these phantas out. GG
- This also goes along with the interrupting part of the build.
Spvp:
Rabid(+Perc, Condi dmg, Tough)
Runes- Undead
Sigils- Staff(Purity) Scepter/ Pistol(Purity/ Earth)
WvW:
The gear I used is in the build link. its a mix of condi stuffs.
Runes: I recently switched to Perpelxity and they are amazing. I do realize they are getting a nerf Apr 15 but i will still use them
Sigils: Currently I use the same as PvP, But when the new patch hits I will be using the ones in the link. A bulk of my condi removal just comes from crits.
Heal/Utilities
For the heal I use Signet of Ether. The reason is because we do not shatter in this build period. on top of that the active heal is pretty high given it has such a strong passive. Oh and cope this with perma regen/ the protection………..
Utilites:
Now don’t forget folks that this is some what of a PU build so first is:
Decoy not only does it stealth you, it throws up a clone in your spot AND its a stun breaker. This utilitly can be a play maker. Other skilled players Know most PU builds ahve decoy, so they watch for when the Mesmers movements stop or change, this hints to them that they used decoy, now for the mind games. act like a clone there has been multiple times where i have stood stilll acting like a clone while the enemy smashes thru the others, and when he gets to me i stand still and decoy, then run behind him. this will give the illusion that you are still standing there, but in reality you arent.
Signet of domination: Passive goes along with the condi build just by giving it condi…. the active goes along with the Interrupting portion of this build. if you get an interrupt you get boons and also it sets the enemies skill on a 4 sec cd.
Mantra of Distraction:Just like the last utlity, this goes along with the interrupt portion of the build. People underestimate the power of interrupts, but what will you do when your heal gets interrupted? or how about thieves stealth? or maybe a warriors hundred blades? Interupts will save your kitten.
Elite theres not much to say, its pretty obvious why I chose mass invis. PUUUU. one thing that some playser do not know, is that with PU, every second you sty in stealth you gain a bon, its not only when you first are granted stealth, so every second you will stack either aegis, regen or protection.
Pros:
Perma Regen
70ish% Protection uptime
great condi dmg.
NOT relient on PU
Passively regenerates health almost as good as War sig.
Counter plays relient on skill (interrupt)
Can 1vx very well.
Not relaying on stealth means you can hold points
Pretty tanky, not the tankiest but wont die to two BS from thief.
Cons:
Meh mobility. #mesmer problems
Damage is one step under Amazing
PU does mean you will be in stealth at least a little, so decaps can happen.
Final Notes:
PU. Purely defensive, use to gain tactical advantages and confuse your opponent. Also this is one of the best escapes for us.
Intterupt. Counter plays are amazing with these.
Illusions. NO SHATTERING keeping illusions/ phantas up gives:
-regen
-more regen from Heal skill
- Bleed on crits.
-Confused enemy.(lel)
GLHF
Note: I do not yet own full ascended, jst exos.
Oh and the build name comes from my character/ acc name.. plus mystogan is awesome.
Reseverd for goodies
Seems like an ok PU variation. Interrupts just seem unnecessary to me, but if it works for you great.

I was skeptical too about the interruption. when i first started i toyed with a PU mesmer and only had sig of domination to interrupt. I tested around a bit and this is where i ended up. If you think about it, interupt+ condi is way strong.
Reason being:
condis take time to deal their dmg, thereis no such thing as burst condi other then burst stacking which is different, so in order to do damage as condi, you need time, and what do interrupts do? they stall, they give time to allow the dmg to tick. it also instils panic to the enemy because they have a decision to make, stun break? condi remove? what do i do?
Another reason interrupt is good is because it stops heals/ condi active condo removal, while alot of builds do have passive condi builds or unstoppable condi remove, if someone has active condi remove you can stop that.
I suggest that you and anyone else that cares to try something new to try this. I has a really high skill cap its really tanky esp with the regen going on and protection.
I dare argue that this is the best PU build out there right now. so try out the interrupts its better then you might think, also might gives condi dmg and ive easily gotten 25 stacks.
I jst 2v1 a guard and a decap engi at hammer x_x no clue why they were both there but my regen was out healing their dps… jst saying oh and it was a zerk guard
Just a thought, but wouldn’t this build be something that would also work well for a commander? My Mesmer follows a completely different style of play but this does look like a concept that would work great.
eh yes and no because its prety tanky but if you summon illusions in zergs they will get demolished also no mobility but it could work with 3 illusions up you heal around 1,5k per 3 sec which is decent it heals more then the heal sig war uses

A commander doesns’t really have any business stacking conditions or doing lots of damage. Commanders should be focused on staying alive, keeping the group alive/moving and keeping an eye out for openings and weaknesses in the enemy group. Everything else is secondary IMO.
The build does not even come close to max healing power Warriors healing output and Warrior actually has the lowest healing of all classes with a healing build.
I don’t quite see why you are stressing that PU is being used defensively. It’s a defensive trait, it’s always going to be used defensively. Still, I find it silly when people complain about it, when they are running everything their profession has, that’s defensive, and “annoying” to fight against. All professions has that something other professions hate.
Seafarer’s Rest
THIS BUILD OUT REGENS MOST HEALING SIG WAR.
No…no it really doesn’t. It doesn’t even come close. It approaches the regeneration of a healing sig warrior under 100% optimal conditions that will never ever happen.
Other than that, it’s an ok looking build aside from the lack of condition removal. Mender’s purity does not play nice in a build using the signet…particularly one that extolls the virtues of its passive regeneration. While sigils of generosity make up for this somewhat, they are inherently unreliable. Since they’re just as likely to proc when your only condition is 2 stacks of vulnerability as they are on 10 stacks of bleed, it’s a completely unpredictable effect.
You also actually really lack any strong mobility and disengage potential. You have 1 stunbreaker, and that’s it. Once you get locked down, you’ll die against anyone even semi-competent at chasing, such as a thief or ele.
