Feedback Questions
Feedback will by placed one of three ways, in priority order:
1. If you have an enemy targeted, in range, it will place the Feedback on that target.
2. If you have an enemy targeted, out of range, it will place the Feedback on the ground at [max/half?] range between you and your target.
3. If you have an ally or no target, it will place the feedback about at half range in front of you, on the ground.
Edit: those are the mechanics.
For tactical application, the challenging part is that it is a bubble. If you place the Feedback in the middle of the enemy, they can sidestep and be OK. Ideally in WvW you want to actually place the bubble on yourself, so that the 47 enemies shooting in your general direction will be affected.
As a result, you typically do not want to target a random range player and drop the Feedback on them (unless it’s a chokepoint). You want to target an enemy melee player who is in YOUR lines, and drop it on them. That way, you affect the most enemy range targets.
Slightly counter-intuitive.

Ahhh… okay, so I was misunderstanding some of that too. After using it and seeing that it either dropped somewhere in the middle or on top of my target if had one and in range, I just figured the feedback only happened to those standing in the bubble. I can’t explain why I came to that conclusion, but that’s where I ended up.
I guess I can now use it as payback to someone sending their pets up on the wall if I’m defending or vice versa.
Ah yeah, any projectile traversing the bubble (inside to outside or outside to in) is affected.
I don’t think inside-to-inside is affected, but I’m not sure. I do love the enemy pets thrown against doors or running across during standoffs though. #1 anchor for Feedback.
Ah that makes sense now. Thank you for the response, it was well thought out and informative. I will test it some after work today
Projectiles fired from inside the Feedback bubble is instantly reflected, it doesn’t have to hit the “wall”. So if the target of the projectile is inside the bubble it will still be reflected.
I would love to have feedback be ground target positional, the current version is a bit clunky but is one of our best WvW utilities hands down. I love checking my combat log after a good feedback bubble.
