I tought you guys would fix this bug this patch but it seems you didnt. When mesmers use Illusionary Leap when your foe is inside the range of the skill but uphill, the clone just cant do the jump. I cant count the number of times i died because of this.
Please try to fix it. Thanks!

Is this in a pvp environment? Theres quite an easy solution to this.
Know what the terrain around you looks like, avoidbad terrain and movethe fightti good terrain if possible. If you see an enemy, you dont have to fight.
Mesmers (most of them) have amazing mobility and escapive abilities, when a fight isnt in your favor, move it to terrain you can make advantage of. Something like a flat ground and around a corner or behind a wall. You can use illusionary leap to leap around the corner and catch your enemy by surprise.

TL;DR: control the fight and avoid bad terrain.

It’s been far too long since this has been addressed. ileap literally won’t kittening work on any “uphill” area. It gets stuck on a dang lump. In addition, the swordsman will often do the same thing.

It’s a tough one to call because in some cases I actually like it when this happens, because I tend to run and dodge towards the opponent, initiate an attack (maybe BG) and it gives me 5 seconds for a free blink/escape/repositioning.
