It has been days since the patch, and Anet is still allowing people to get instantly blown up with combat logs showing 5-12damage. Fix this now… Mesmers are already a very strong class… they dont need insta-death buttons.

Ah, my bad, clearly it’s an exploit since it managed to instagib you. Considering you gave no proof other than one bad damage reading in your log (which has been reported before and has been narrowed down to be the damage dealt when standing near a stealthed player) and you got instagibbed, clearly it must mean that that profession is bugged and everyone must stop playing it immediately because it’s op and nobody should be able to do that much damage without playing a concert piano.

seems that you could have explained the exploit instead of kinda being snarky to esp.
I’d rather be dismissed as a troll than explain it and risk it being used more. Sorry if that sounds bad. Anet has the submitted screenshots and reports, just hoping to bring more attention to the problem without influencing an increase in its use.

Heheh, yep. Regardless though, there is no exploit, this guy is simply either trolling or seriously kitten about a mesmer killing him. We have all known what proximity anguish is for a long time, and there’s nothing exploity about it.

Doesn’t Proximity Anguish tick for like, 5-30 damage anyway? I’d like to see a combat log where it went up to 15k, because I have heard of that happening all of never.

Back to the OP… just because you see 5-12 damage on your combat logs (for reasons already explained) doesn’t mean that’s where the 15k nukes are coming from. If you want a straight answer pertaining to how you’re getting nuked, either show us a video or get us a combat log and not just one thing on the combat log. I can say I got illed by an invader in WvW because I took 500 damage. How’d I get nuked for 18k? Oh, that’s right, they didn’t just auto attack me once.
And we’re mesmers! Snarky comes with the profession. It’s a prerequisite for our narcissism classes. Countess Anise won’t let us make even one clone unless we have kissed no less than 24 mirrors.

Proximity Anguish doesn’t hit that hard, surely there has to be more, if not then it’s an amazing exploit that will most assuredly get fixed, ne’er fear. I could imagine a Proximity Anguish chain that might deal 15k in spurts of thousands of 5 to 15 damage a tick. . . that’d be something impressive. /opens combat log:

THAT’D be kind of annoying. To replicate such a bug would seem very difficult though. Impressive if such a thing could happen. I truly doubt it though.
