Focus Reflecting
The phantasm reflects attacks, instead of just blocking them.
The wall is a bit tricky. It’s very low, so it will reflect things like direct arrow shots on flat terrain. But it fails at most things that “lob” attacks. Even Elementalist Fireballs occasionally sneak over the wall. Sloped terrain is similarly tricky, unfortunately.
If you’re being attacked from a wall in WvW, it’s not going to be awesome. Maybe if you stand RIGHT behind your wall you’ll be ok, but as far as I remember, most attacks sail clear past it in that situation.
So the other thing I guess is: When I’m in WvW and am being shot from a wall and cast my Focus Phantasm… he’s going to spawn right beside them. Will it work like a reflect similar to Feedback then, or is it only a “reflects things coming towards me”, and not a “reflects things back like a bubble surrounding them” type thing?
If that makes sense. Basically trying to figure out if the Trait is useful at all, if not just for the 20% reduction in Swiftness use.
If the projectile has to pass through the warden’s bubble at all, it’s usually reflected.
Often, the warden spawns behind or to the side of an enemy and he’s less useful then. Still does damage, but you don’t get the reflection.
As for general usefulness, it’s still a worthwhile trait but not a game-breaker for me.
Warden can be rough to position and use, but can be awesome when it works. For example, I often cast mine on the closest enemy to myself then stand behind him. I also toss a Veil down on top of him as soon as he appears for a cleansing bolt combo.
The wall is a nice chunk of reflection, even if it doesn’t reflect EVERYTHING. You can be clever about positioning it when sieging a keep. Try tossing it near your enemy up on a wall rather than near you, for example.
It’ll behave like feedback; any hostile projectiles passing through the general vicinity of the warden will be bounced back at the attacker regardless who the target was
Garnished Toast
The warden reflect bubble is absolutely massive. When it spawns, it will absolutely reflect anything the target does, as well as everything that passes within about 150 radius of the warden.
The wall is also great. If you are being attacked while on a wall, drop it on the edge, and it will reflect everything. If being attacked from a wall, drop it again on the edge, or just use it to yank them off. Standing on top of the curtain does allow you to bypass the low height most of the time. It seems that targeted attacks will hit you below where the wall is, and so it will reflect them.

What he said +1.
Remember that the wall can be cast anywhere, so always aim for the highest point between you and your enemy. Also as Pyro mentioned in the Mesmerized Podcast
The reflection does not destealth an attacker (evil laugh) I’ll leave the rest up to your imagination.
