Focus skill help
Its not in my opinion that great in small groups, In zergs its great though
However, i would chain together some Stuns to really make it affective, any player will move out of it so the best you got is to stun them, Sig Of Dom and the Mantra of Distraction when combined is like 4 seconds of stun/daze
Still in my opinion, thats having to use 2 Utilities to make it worthwhile, which it just isnt. It wouldnt be so bacd if it followed the target reasonably but it seem they have to go out of like 1200 for them to chase them down, despite Warden range is like 300 or something silly
Well, people say that you can actually lay down temporal curtain, begin spawning iWarden and then use Into the Void before the cast for iWareden finishes. This way, it spawns on the knocked down target. However, I’ve tried it and never could get it to work like that… iWarden ALWAYS spawned where the target was before I used Into the Void; no matter if I used it mid-cast or when it was at like 90% of the castingtime.
Another option would be immobilizing with sword 3. I guess you can also knockdown with the pull from Into the Void, then cast iWarden and while doing so immobilize with sword 3. Oh, and while you’re at it, you’re of course free to use Blurred Frenzy after iWarden spawned (and if the target isn’t running away already).
Best use in my opinion and I run warden alot is situational and as controll. Several good ways to use him but no that always work. Get a feel for it.
Fighting a thief with ranged attacks? spawn a warden and keep him between you and enemy.
Downed a player? set a warden on him och suddenly its alot harder for a squishy to stealth res him + it prevent ranged interupts on your stomp.
Your ranger friend used roots? Spawn a warden on the rooted group and enjoy some nice dmg.
Need a condi clear? combo lightfield + warden to clear your cndis etc etc.

Both Temporal Curtain and iLeap can be used to get a bit of damage out of the warden. Use the first half of either skill before summoning him and the second half after/a moment before the cast finishes.
But you shouldn’t see the Warden as a source of damage anyway. He creates some kind of safe area around him that protects from projectiles without blocking LoS for you and damages melees. Try to use that to your advantage.

I think iWarden would have been better if it was a ground target-able skill because as it is, its VERY hard to get any use from it, if it was Ground target-able you would be able to use it more easily both offensively and defensively
Thanks for all the help!
Just to toss in my .02, iWarden works great most of the time in ZvZ too. Pick a target in the middle of their ball, and you’ll get a bunch of tags for it most likely. Plus, the ranged opponents frequently shoot in the zergball collision, so if it’s traited, your warden will get reflect tags as well.
