Ok Anet you lost me now. Enough is enough, I really love playing mesmer, heck I even got 3 lvl 80 mesmers (because you cant implement a proper build system you kittening kittens) I play once a week, I got a good salary, I spend a quite high sum on those kittening blue little crack gems you pushing but I’m out. You seriously can’t balance a game and it’s such a shame since you got a brilliant game in all other aspects. The mesmer class is amazing in it’s design but you can’t keep it functioning, you guys suck at your job..and I’m not paying a dime more for your services. Bye.

I am sorry to say, but each Over NERF from ANET did multiply this individual effect on a large scale.

Nerfing should be tweak often with little increment or decrement. Anet don’t take time to polish their balance… so, they cut a lot and so, their player base cut has well.

In every class forum there are people screaming about how Anet done their class wrong… this tells me 2 things:

1) People love the classes they play (which means they’re all well designed)
2) The classes are as “balanced” as can be expected (because the grumbling is even across the board)

I also always chuckle a little bit when I read people clamoring for perfect balance in a game where it’s impossible to have it. Players bring the true balance with their skills, so if you feel underpowered then practice your class more, and be adaptive to change. You’re not meant to find one build to pwn everything you come across with ease, and then never have to change it up.

You can’t balance a game with 9 professions in a 5 profession game mode. We can only hope that the balance changes of x season will make us meta again. That is all the meta is at this point. Giving certain classes a time to shine. Right now the shining people are revenants, engies, necros, rangers, and X. And the former 4 have had less time to shine than we have.

At this point, they should just balance the classes in PVE and WVW as people have more opportunity to contribute.

never once since the latest patch have i heard in pvp a dh/reaper/daredevil say that they were nerfed into the ground and unplayable in ranked pvp

The elite spec druid is the best bunkerish class left over from the previous meta. It has superior team sustain and aoe cc. But more importantly they were given a jesus skill to res players. All the value mesmer had from being able to fast res was transfered over to the druid.
