The old version of Furious Interruption was a solid idea I think; stop a cast and counter with a crit. The problem wasn’t the idea it was that the Fury was very short-lasting.

The new version is flashy and a lot of fun, but we don’t get as much mileage out of Quickness as do some other classes.

Perhaps we could revisit the old version again, or maybe compromise between the two? You could gain the Fury for an interrupt and the Quickness (with the ICD on the latter) for a hard stun.

I think if they ever revisit critting in general (I’d remove Precision as a stat, but not critdamage :P ), then I’d like Furious Interruption to guarantee a crit with the next ability hitting for more than X, up to Y seconds later.

The strength of heart to face oneself has been made manifest. The persona Carighan has appeared.

I was just warming up to the original FI and then they changed it to what it is now. I had an offensive support build theory crafted including that trait – I was excited to see how it would work and bam! It was gone. Granted the new capability isn’t terrible; it has it’s merits, but I honestly don’t think it’s worth a GM slot. I’m with your idea on bringing the old back with longer duration.

Furious interruption being changed to quickness is good for some builds and bad for others. The quickness can be used by straight power weapons like the greatsword and sword well. You can empty all your skills onto a target in 3s of 1.5x action speed, which can create a lot of burst. You just need to be in a position to use the quickness. Imho it is better than old fi for a true interrupt build. It’s just a lot of people on the forums run chillinterrupt/perplexity/dip in for bountiful interruption so quickness is mostly wasted on their condition/survival specs.
