Hulk Roaming Montages/Build Vids

Q:
Hi all!
Currently in the process of gearing up my mesmer. Recent aesthetic reasons have brought me back to smer while I main a warrior.
PU seems like it’s no fun, so I want to get into shatter. My current gear is pretty much all zerk with some bad runes to give me a lil swiftness, I intend to get Traveler. First, however, I want to find out what stats to get on my gear.
Below is a set-up I made with my current trinkets. I would like to keep the ascended ones, exo’s can be replaced.
I found with my current skill level, I get gibbed by thieves a little too easy. Switching back to some cavalier/knight’s might be better.
First question; I wonder if full zerk is just better in the long run, and I should take a few phails along the way as bonus?
Second question; between knight’s and cavalier, which do you prefer?
Third question; I focussed on crit chance (bloodlust sigil is a little expensive and I had perception on two weapons for easy double-stacking). Mind wrack had an 80% crit chance with sword, 100% with fury (that’s what I was aiming for in case of a small group setting). Would you advise more power instead of precision?
Last one; I never tried omnomberry pie, but I had a lot of them in my bank for some reason. I actually noticed a nice little sustain from it. Is it worth it?
Thanks a lot!

I tend to gravitate towards slightly tankier gear (cavalier and knights) for wvw roaming just to stay alive in slightly nastier situations. Full zerk isn’t quite as necessary for optimal performance as it is in PvE; PvP is always a bit more flexible.
In general, crit chance is better to stack on a Mesmer, but you say you had 80%? How did you reach that?
in your build i would not sacrifice 104 attribute for %7 critical damage…
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/mesmer/Build-WvW-Blurred-Mes-War-Mes/3435436 here has some better crit damage tips,
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fgAQNAsfRlwzipXUTrGb9ICqHaH49dkU0avWJF82FC-jUDBYLCiUEA0HQEBgJPKrJQCilhFRjVxATdKxKXBV7CyOWQ1bQZWIgyTAA-w example here u will be boost your damage by %2.1 for sacrifice 35for thoughness(which is if u would hit your self u could reduce in come damage by %1.05) but %2.1 damage > %1 damage reduction exactly if u are shatter mesmer (burst specced)
however as above link, if knight trinkets was pvt.. there would be better efficient (for survival aka health pool[required damage before u die] vs sacrifice damage (but not calculated it yet that i can give numbers)
or another thing i would prefer sharperning stone than oil.. ( i would prefer damage boost than critchance[for triggers on critical things]

I would probably swap the sword trait for something else, it’s only 2½ seconds on 2 skills (and 50 precision, yay).
I’m also not sure what you want the torch trait for except slightly faster stealth. One condition cleanse every 24s will rarely matter when that’s all you have. Still a decent trait though, but the offhand really brings nothing to the build except a little stealth. Pistol can stun to set up a shatter and duelist has much better damage than iMage in a power build (probably in any build).
Anyone know if Compounding Power offers more damage potential than Precise Wrack overall? 10% crit chance on one skill that is not exactly spammable always seemed weak to me.

Formula is:
Damage done = (Weapon strength) * Power * (skill-specific coefficient) / (target’s Armor)
after u find your Damage Done do;
Average damage = Base damage * ( 1 + Critical Chance * ( Critical Damage + 0.5) )
then,
check Average Damage differenses between those traits,
then check,
How many times u can trigger that traits individually,
then,
extras as Give value(efficient multipliers) for each trigger,
Top, Legs and Shoulders = Cav, Ammy and Earrings = Cav, everything else zerker. You should end up with like 1.4k toughness 2.2k power 100% crit dmg and 60% crit chance without food and stacks. I recommend trav runes.
Staff is your friend, S/S can be fun when solo, but focus is a must for CC in groups. Portal is a must, learn to use it well and you’ll be fine.
Boonstrip Shatter = Always.
1.4k toughness
2k power
97% crit dmg
37% crit chanceWith no food or stacks.
Yeah, my bad, went to check out my exact stats today, and the crit chance is with food and stacks.
