Greatsword should not be in Domination
Have you tried pressing 5?
Pistol makes far more sense in the Domination trait line which focuses on interrupts.

Magic Bullet at least has an interrupt which would make far more sense to be in the Domination trait line.

Hit up to three foes with a single shot. The first target is stunned, the second is dazed, and the third is blinded.

Pistol benefits from interrupts, power and condition duration which makes a far better fit than Greatsword.

I think using Illusionary Wave is a kick-able offense in most PvE… Think I clicked it once by accident and promptly disabled the key.
In addition to Illusionary Wave which can interrupt more targets than Magic Bullet, the Mirror Blade clone is created right next to the target. So if you shatter that clone, it’s much easier to interrupt than with a clone that has to run.
In addition, the greatsword has vulnerability and cripple conditions which benefit nicely from condition duration.
iWave, Mirror Blade > Diversion. OP pls, do you even mesmer.

just wanted to chime in.
GS skill 3 used to have a daze, it was also “locked-on” instead of ground targeted. I think It was changed because mesmers could lock players out from using abilities for a long duration if you go full on domination with the stun on daze trait and the other interrupt traits. But they didn’t rearrange the traits though even though they changed the skill behavior so here we are.

Yeah, one of our two reliable AE interrupts, definitely shouldn’t be in Domination with all it’s interrupt traits (and soon getting another one :P ).

Was interested if i could find a solid point on this topic, but instead i found someone talking about interrupt traits and skills in PvE meta (btw gs is amost never used in most speed dungeons and that push is great for positioning mobs along with focus pull).

In the context where you shouldn’t use it – dungeons, mostly – you’ll never pick up the Gs anyhow because even the Scepter outdamages it in a power build.
But ignoring that, it’s trait fits well into domination for PvP purposes. A weapon with an interrupt and two conditions benefitting from +duration but not +damage, coupled with all-power-scaling damage output on all 5 abilities.
