Do you believe Anet (source), should even be considering buffing the guardian now when they already have op conditional damaged and a new elite that has a 200% faster cool down than Time warp, all while the only changes to mesmers have been nerfs? Why are they worried about buffing the guardian now?

Guardian shield needs to be changed because it’s an extremely useless weapon. It’s quite sad that the focus has a block mechanism and shield doesn’t.

Ya tbh, they probably should have worked on the shield before they added the patch in. To me it seems their main worries are guardian shield and nerfing the mes. If they fixed the guardians shield earlier, maybe the main worries would be nerfing all the classes together (those who need it, don’t mean all classes). Of course, I really don’t know what the main worries are right now. Its obvious that mes, along with other classes need nerfed. However, it bothers me that they released the nerfs for mes first before anything else, while at the same time working on the shield. To me it makes the most sense to fix the shield first, then add a patch that nerfs all the classes that need it at once. Don’t work on the mes first. From the other posts, you can tell this causes a lot of stress and heartache in the mesmer community. I don’t think the posts would be nearly as much of a deal if all the nerfs and bug fixes came out together. I am just not quite sure if Anet really realizes this. If they did I would have thought they would have released the nerfs and bug fixes together. Adding the discussion of buffing the guardians shield now instead of fixing it before the patch just boosts up the heartache even more, imo. I think the main priority of Anet should be balancing the classes. However, I think they should do this while at the same time considering the emotions of the community. Do they realize releasing nerfs one at a time causes problems? I don’t know, but I hope they at least change the way they release stuff in the future.

Make all necessary changes no matter what they are. Nerfs? Buffs? Irrelevant.

Negative, I did a poor job of conveying the question. I apologize. However, I am guessing you still didn’t read my reply. The question was never about Weather or not changes should be made to the shield. They should. The problem is weather they should worry about it NOW. I was just stating my opinion that they should have worked on in before the patch or saved it to work on it after they fixed all the current bugs in the game that came after the patch. Please read my second post to understand the question better. I should have elaborated a bit more from the beginning.
