Guild Wars 2

I dont really have a group to roam with,so im looking for a solid build that will keep me alive in wvw,and also be able to take someone down. so i guess a good mix of offense,with defense. If anyone has something in mind that works, please lemme know. looking for everything from traits,runes and armor setup. Thanks in advance!

I can win 1v1 and 1v2 most of the time, and routinely take on (un-upgraded) supply camps alone. It’s nice for completing daily quests and picking up a few badges along the way.

Why would you like to go solo? Isn’t it better to form at least a small 2/5 ppl group and do things better/faster?

The guild im in already has a romaing 5 man group,so im kinda outta luck.

My gear isnt quite complete but I did a simple test with the “immortal mesmer build” by running solo into the center of 30ish Red Guard and I’m sorry to say, its not really immortal. That’s just false advertisement. But I survived for over 10ish seconds so I still approve :p

Wow – I personally would never even attempt to go into a group of 30 people no matter how tanky. Honestly I never willingly engage with more than 2 people at a time. And preferable not even two!

I don’t like to assume that I’m better than two people at the same time. I have won quite a bit of 2v1 now and then but I never assume that I can do it. Always assume your opponent is as skilled as you.

My best 2v1 wins have been

1. Two eles
2. Guardian and ele
3. Guardian and thief
4. Two rangers
5. Warrior and thief

But again, I’m not arrogant enough to think that I’m better than two people combined! These were probably outlier cases.

wow osi the thing that amazes me about the video is how you get your i leap to work correctly. your clone seems to path better then mine does on flat ground and yours is running up and down hills.

Ahh, but you have to run in, then leave real quick. It’s immortal cause no one can stop you from leaving, and they’ll have to chase you down. Eventually, it’ll be down to just 4 or 5 people, which I feel reasonably comfortable engaging in more of a head-on fight.

What are your thoughts on how well -as compared to your build- would a heavy staff/condition/toughness build work?

@Cempa, as the class look today my oppinion is that for solo or smal team roaming a direct dmg or hybrid is alot stronger than condition setup. As a condition mesmer your enemy can aleays chose to not use abilitys and run, your other conditions are not strong enought to force him down. As a * 2.0 Mist * mesmer you can not only chase down enemys you can also burst down almost anything you encounter.

In this our class are different from say enginers, who can stack long time condition burning and same time inta put up confusion in large stacks. Making the build effective for solo roaming.

As it look now in my oppinion, if you interested in condition dmg, setup a team of 7-12 ppl and marry a necro. Alternative have a look at Kylias glamor spec and melt worlds.
