Guild Wars 2

I usually play guardian in Tpvp but have been asked to switch out to try mesmer on some maps, I ‘get’ how it’s all meant to work but I’m struggling with a few things, mainly the build.

I think it needs a lot of work, I’m still not feeling that high damage and the build doesn’t offer that much survivability either. Does anyone have any help to offer?

Greatsword and portal entre are a must, but all else is interchangeable^^

But tbh, alot of people think that mesmers will have some superuber damage due to all the cry on the forums, thing is tho, that altho the damage is fine it isn’t what people make you think it is. Survivabilty comes mainly (for me atleast since i don’t play a bunker spec) from utility skills, such as blink and decoy. Also you increase your survivability alot when you learn to play with peoples minds

Hard to help alot tho since i couldn’t see the build you are currently running. but i guess you will retrieve the repair kit with your portal and maybe use the treb? in that case i would suggest going GS + Staff.

Same here, empty spec. I have to agree with Fabbs, Mesmer has the reputation of being a very high damage class, but this just is not the case. They start slow but begin to put out solid numbers in prolonged fights. The thing that makes mesmers shine is the survivability you can grant yourself and others with the right combination of weapons/utilities/combo chains.

Yes, we abuse portal entre a lot, dropping your whole team into a cap point or the enemy base, can be game changing, and obv on khylo I take the treb for higher uptime

I’d like to see some feed back on this build as well since I use one highly similar
