To start, I should clarify that I already have a Berserker/Leadership set and will be finishing up my Viper set tonight. The one issue I’m struggling with is that I have a spare set of Commander’s armor that I’m trying to figure out a use for, primarily what rune I want. I’m holding onto the Comm armor in case a patch later down the road calls puts it in the lead again though I anticipate that may never actually happen. Thus far I’ve looked at the following runes:

Durability
(1): +25 Toughness
(2): +5% Boon Duration
(3): +50 Toughness
(4): 25% chance when struck to grant nearby allies Protection and Regeneration for 3 seconds and Resistance resistance for 1 second. (Cooldown: 20 seconds)
(5): +100 Toughness
(6): +15% Boon Duration; +125 Vitality

Defender
(1): +25 Healing
(2): When you block a foe’s attack, gain 1 second of Regeneration.
(3): +50 Healing
(4): When you use a heal skill, gain Aegis for 5 seconds. (Cooldown: 10s)
(5): +100 Healing
(6): When you block a foe’s attack, heal yourself. (Cooldown: 30s) (note: heals for 3920 +0.6h)

Revenant
(1): +8 to All Stats
(2): +10 to All Stats
(3): +12 to All Stats
(4): +14 to All Stats
(5): +16 to All Stats
(6): Gain 2 seconds of resistance when you use a heal skill (Cooldown: 10 seconds).

And then of course there’s Scholar’s.

Ultimately, what I’m going for is some sort of rune that applies a useful boon of sort. Durability was my first choice, but the extra boon duration felt odd. I guess I could just not eat +boon duration food? Though that would eliminate dumplings? Anyways, I don’t expect to make too hardcore use of this gearset but would like to have it on standby for situations that require “bulkier” setups.
